Not much of a trail... ended in a lovely pollinator field, very peaceful... lovely wildflowers

Very good for a morning run to enjoy the beautiful landscape. If you go on one of the trailers, don’t forget to put on tick spray.

It's more of a preserve. Not so much a park. Just state land. Used to be partly a radio station in WWII. There is still the remnants of a bunker. The underground part has since been filled with concrete. It was said a lot of covert stuff went through there at one time. I believe they also ran radar there. There was a time that planes used to do low flies over the area trying to beat radar for training purposes. Not any longer though. The area is however zoned for aerial acrobatics so sometimes you see planes doing tricks. It's kind of neat. Also a fun fact. My grandfather owned a large chunk of this land back in his days as a farmer. When he passed a lot of it got sold. Some to other farms and some to the state.
