I love this store. Great prices, great selection, they accept UHC money, they are on Upside and if you know what to do, this store will save you money. Always clean, the staff is nice, the produce is very fresh and the bakery is EXCELLENT.
The fried chicken I purchased was awful. I bought alot for as much as six people and nobody liked it. Dry and very greasy with absolutely no flavor. Store was pleasing but a little dark.
I had a great experience in the Floral Dept. of Market 32 in Oxford-I want to mention how wonderful Nadia and Barbara were when I needed a Birthday arrangement. They were excellent and were a great help to me.My friend loved them and they are still like new!!! Thanks again Nadia and Barbara you folks are the best!!! Rick Settani
I would like to compliment Nancy in your Bakery Dept.
She came through for me on a last minute birthday cake order!! Stop n Shop totally failed and a friend recommended Market 32. So thankful for your efforts! My sweet daughter loved the birthday cake!! Thank you Nancy!! We can't seem to find caring, hardworking people like you. Thank you!!!!
Market 32
The supermarket called Market 32 is located in a shopping center with numerous other businesses. Market 32 attracts large numbers of the local populace and is a modern well-lit and clean store with wide aisles and a vast selection of neatly arranged groceries and sundry other goods. There is ample free parking. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and I have even had a staff member offer to escort me to the location of an item I could not find.
It is a pleasant experience to shop at Market 32 and unlike some other grocery stores, many registers are staffed by real people instead of an automated check out lane. Both the manned and automated check out lanes are easy and fast to navigate. Frequent shoppers also earn bonus points if they obtain the free Market 32 store card which is a nice little bonus.
Prices seem to be in line with other grocery stores, especially with items on sale.
A few things that the Market 32 could improve on are as follows:
1. Some of the hostess products on the shelf were beyond their expiration date but I think most people pay attention to this, especially with bakery goods which have a short shelf life.
2. More times than I care to remember, the blueberries, raspberries, cherries and other fruits that are sold in cellophane wrapped containers are very soft, which means they have started to spoil. It is not possible to tell the condition of the fruits before purchase since they are wrapped. On many occasions I have had to discard half or more of the above-mentioned fruits which were beginning to spoil, making them inedible. The most frustrating aspect of buying fruits is that the package does not contain a “picked date” or “do not use after date”. In any event the produce manager is not doing his job well when half spoiled fruits are left out for sale. On the bright side, Market 32 recently has been selling fruits from Peru which are of a much higher quality that previous offerings.
3. The deli counter for getting cold cuts and other meats does not have a ticket dispenser to place yourself in que for service. However, this is not a big deal because the deli counter rarely sems to have any customers. There is a refrigerated unit next to the deli with pre sliced meat and cheese products, but I think the real reason there are not customers lined up is because of the very slow service. The staff taking orders for sliced cold cuts seems to move in slow motion as if time is of no consequence, which I guess is true if you are on the clock. But most people, including myself, do not like to wither in a slow line. The deli manager should explore this situation.
A really nice grocery store but I would suggest buying fruits and deli cold cuts at another store.
