Birdie's Cafe

Staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing, and their portions were extremely generous! We also got dessert to go, and that was also delicious. We will definitely be back to try all the yummy dishes 😋

The atmosphere of this place is awesome! So comfortable! The service was amazing! Being shy and not always wanting to speak up and all, i just had to look at the waited once and she knew i needed something! Also she predicted that we needed stuff 99% of the time without me telling her, that was awesome!!! FOR REAL!!! When it come to food MY GOD!!! Huge portions! Great price! I ordered an omelette and it was BUILD YOUR OWN!!! Imagine that! BUILD YOUR OWN!!!!!!!! The choices you get with your omelette is that you can choose 2 meats, 1 cheese, and 3 vegetables!!! Also you get 2 medium sized pancakes and home fries 🤯!!! The omelette was EGGselent, EGGstraordinary AND the YOLK is on you if you do not go there to eat!!! THANK YOU TO THE STAFF, COOKS AND OWNER FOR MAKING ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND 6 MONTH ANNIVERSARY DELICIOUS!!! When we got home she took a nap!!! Much love and we WILL be back soon 😊

I stopped by Birdie’s Cafe in Vernon for breakfast and was pleasantly impressed. The menu is full of classic comfort‑food options and creative breakfast dishes — I ended up trying the “Birdie’s Breakfast” (egg whites, turkey bacon, fruit cup & toast) and it hit the spot. The portion was generous and the fruit was fresh. The menu also features more indulgent items (pancakes, waffles, crepes) for when you’re feeling like a treat.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The dining area felt comfortable, staff were friendly, and the pace was good — we weren’t rushed. It’s the kind of place where you can linger over your coffee and enjoy a relaxed start to the day. According to online reviews, many guests appreciate the spaciousness and the fact that you can’t go wrong with the food.

That said, there were a couple of small things worth noting:
The coffee was good but didn’t blow me away; and despite the large menu, a few items felt a little pricey for what you got. On a future visit I might stick to the breakfast specials rather than the more expensive indulgent choices.

All in all, Birdie’s Cafe is a strong option if you’re in Vernon and looking for a comfortable, satisfying breakfast or brunch. It checks the boxes for friendly service, a solid menu, and a nice environment. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars, and I’ll definitely consider returning next time I’m in the area.

Somebody was complaining about lack of meat? This is my go to order for lunch, Turkey Avocado BLT on multigrain 👌✨ I wish they offered side salads or cup of soup instead of fries. Breakfast is always great too, they always give 10lbs of home fries on the side, I would love it if they would add some onions and peppers but it’s very north Jersey diner to have bland home fries, flavor would scare the locals.

The food tasty and properly filling, definitely makes me feel like my money is well spent 😄 I got the Monte Cristo Sandwich on French Toast (which was delicious) and my partner got Apple Pie Pancakes (covered in sweet apples!)
