Bombay Vada is hands-down one of the best Indian restaurants in Jersey City. The food is beautifully seasoned, perfectly balanced, and consistently delicious.
The menu strikes the perfect blend of traditional favorites and creative dishes. The biryanis are fragrant and deeply flavorful, the curries are rich without being heavy, and the tandoori items come out juicy with that unmistakable smoky char. You can taste the freshness in every bite. Portions are generous, and everything comes out beautifully presented.
Service is attentive without being intrusive. The staff really knows the menu and is happy to make recommendations based on preferences or spice levels.
I highly recommend Bombay Vada. Excellent food, great service, and a warm atmosphere—easily one of my favorite spots in Jersey City.

    Tried dabeli.

    Very well Prepared and presented.
    Nice music and chill vibe
Billed properly, i paid 10.65 USD for 2 dabeli and 1 water bottle.
Didn't tipped them anything today, and the guy was still chill.
I liked the dabeli, especially the green chatni.
    Most probably will visit again.

Looks locally run and no frill neighborhood spot.
I was craving pani puri and walked a whole 20 minutes to this spot.
The shells were crispy and it came with chopped onion, chutney, filling, and plenty of sauce.
I ordered some other things with the help of the server who was checking in with me about food and my experience.

I would go back and try something else also.

EDIT: a manager or the owner called me to apologize for the situation. I sincerely appreciated this outreach and his generous offer to rectify the situation, so I am bumping up this review as a result.

ORIGINAL: I wanted to like this place after living in the neighborhood for a while. Unfortunately, the operation is run very poorly.

I ordered pickup for chicken tikka masala and samosa chaat.

I was told the order was ready for pickup but showed up and had to wait 20 mins. The order received did not match so I asked why and I was told the entree I ordered comes with rice and not roti. So, they are misleading on their online menu. Not worth the price in my opinion. Maybe I’ll give it another chance, but it’s hard to respect a place that plays bait and switch and makes you wait after telling you it’s ready for pickup. The flavor profile of the food is salty too.

Really nice and chill spot in jersey city. We really enjoyed all the food there. Would recommend the Kati rolls - those were quite tasty. Masala fries were delicious! The staff was very friendly as well!
