Services for my father were handled extremely well. Everything was done with the utmost professionalism and respect. I could not have asked for more. Everyone at the facility were wonderful to deal with and extremely helpful. Thank you for giving my Dad a great sendoff and treating my Mother so well.
Quiet clean and peaceful for your loved 1s final resting place that served our country with honor. “Needs more rest rooms and cell phone signal services”
Though my father and uncles who honorably served in WW2 are not buried here, I visit here 2x per year to salute and say their names and of those that as I walk by their final resting place. Stangers, no, heros and comrades, yes. I have chosen this site to rest when my time is up. The BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery is the most beautiful and reverent resting place for all those who served this great country.
Beautiful respectful resting place.
All workers extremely kind.
Take a picture or write down burial location details. The book and computer takes at least 3-5 months to update.
Visit on weekends or holidays whenever possible.
They ARE busy…..
Keep this in mind if visiting during the week.
Some may find the “factory“ look of so many funerals and burials disturbing.
Keep in mind that you ARE NOT allowed to watch actual burial. The 2 locations for the service are very respectful. One is a permanent structure, the other is a temporary tent. Due to Covid, the chapel is closed still.
I have noticed lots of negative comments about this cemetery. My father was buried here in June 2012 and my mother, brother and myself could not have been more pleased with the respect and dignity that my father received at his commitment ceremony near the memorial walk and pond. Followed by the naval honor guard folding and presenting the flag to my mother as taps were being played in the woods behind us. Nine years later, September 2021 my mother joined my father for their eternal rest "together in heaven forever". Even though my mom was non-military she was treated with the same respect and dignity by the entire staff at commitment shelter Z.
I find this place to be very peaceful and beautiful for a final resting place. The grounds and facilities at this cemetery are always clean and well maintained. The map and grave locator is a big help in finding a specific grave.
I currently live in Florida and do not get back to NJ that often but I visit every time I do. Just today I called to see if the grave marker had been updated with Mom's info. The gentleman that took my call (thanks Joe) took my information and told me he would go out to the grave site and check and would call me back or take a photo if it was. Fifteen minutes later I get a picture of the new grave marker in a text. Just one example of the wonderful people and staff that take care of this beautiful somber place of rest. THANK YOU ALL!
