A highly dedicated group of employees & volunteers taking care of all the amazing un-homed animals for the county.

If you cannot adopt, consider volunteering.

I’m not sure about the 1 star experiences but of course everyone is entitled to their opinions and views but as for me I have ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS had 100% good experiences with this shelter ❤️ I have adopted already 3 fur babies from here in separate occasions and some distance apart so I have seen older staff as well as some new ones over the years and they have all been AMAZING. I first adopted my kitty Athena and my daughter has her attached to her hip great bond. My fiancé adopted our boy Aries (formerly known as Cody) German Shepard mix and at first it was hard and we still have put bumps in the road but he is still learning everyday ❤️ Just Saturday 11/22/25 we adopted Rhea (formerly known as Sandy) and she is a firecracker but we wouldn’t have it any other way. These animals take time to adjust and get their footing in a new home with new rules and people and that is NO ONES FAULT! You can’t blame staff or the animals for mishaps that occur in ur home with the animals they have to adjust and we have to have patience and understanding just like with children. So please if you don’t have the patience don’t adopt a little life cause the back and forth is not good for anyone especially those fur babies who lose trust and hope 💔 If I had the adequate space I would adopt them all 🫠😅🥰🥹

The staff here are incredible so nice and helpful. You can tell they love animals. The shelter itself is very clean and offers a very nice environment for the animals. I would give five stars if there was one extra available lol

My husband and I adopted a bonded pair of identical twins siblings Bengal kittens Rex and Ginger who are thriving well in their new home. The shelter was very clean and the staff was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions pertaining to the kittens I will definitely make sure to send friends and family to the Burlington County shelter if they are looking to adopt or Foster an animal.

My mother and her friend recommended the shelter to us as they adopted their two cats Fred and flossy a few years ago from there.
