The pizza is acceptable, but while the location lacks ambiance, you can get a nice window seat to people-watch.
At first I had suspicions… small place, dim lighting, quiet. BUT, I soon learned that it was on purpose, and that purpose was to lower the expectations for the rest of the visit. You see, everything is about expectations vs reality. That is how emotion and perception is created. This restaurant, and all of its dinginess, lowered the bar for its 7/10 pizza to stand out as a 10/10! What a brilliant move by the owners I must say. I biked 15 miles to get here by the way. By mentioning this, feel free to factor in a moderate exhaustion level into my bias on the review. Thank you Carini, Thank you High Bridge, and Thank you Mark Wahlberg.
My partner and I ordered take out to eat at the brewery across the street. The pizza was ready in about 25 minutes and it was hot and fresh when we picked it up.
The pizza itself was very good.
The staff were nice enough, no complaints.
Fantastic pizza, hands down the best in the area, if not my all time favorite
Very clean family-style eatery/carry-out place serving delicious Italian food made to order. There is plenty of indoor seating and a few small tables outside on the sidewalk.
We ordered spaghetti with meatballs and Stromboli to share. The portions were very large. The tomato sauce was chunky, fresh, and flavorful with fresh herbs and whole basil leaves, which speaks for itself. The meatballs were very nicely seasoned and were indeed consisting of meat. The Stromboli came fresh out of the oven, was crunchy with a soft center. The prices are very reasonable. Definitely two thumbs up.
