Went for a senior's meeting
Nice event for Christmas for the kids
It's a very nice clean room holds about 70 people. The staff is friendly and helpful. For small gatherings or parties.
Autumn festival is fun for kids and adults. Good selection of food from lots of vendors. Rides for the kids, and great live music.
I don’t recommend the camp. Camp experience today was not great because of the camp director. All other staff seems great. However, if the director, a person who is in charge does not make me feel like my child’s safety is a priority then I would definitely not recommend the camp to others.
Prior to today’s experience I would of given Bloomfield Rec a 5 star review because other staff have been nice and kind. But this review is based on camp.
Dina in the office is super friendly and wonderful.
Jamie a camp counselor super nice and my son loves her.
Jessica the head of camp super understanding and professional.
Mayor the camp director super rude, unable to have a proper conversation. Was disrespectful to me in front of my child, other campers, and camp staff.
The quality of this camp is not as great as other camps such as YMCA in Montclair.
Cons of camp:
No air conditioners, they are in a hot school/Gym
Director is rude
Staff is very young with exception of director
A lot of down time compared to other camps (time in front of tv/ video games)
Pros of camp:
Affordable. You get what you pay for. I’d suggest paying more and getting better quality of care.
