I just came in to get my secondhand bike tuned and adjusted. They gave me a few tips and advice on bike maintenance and did only the necessary adjustments on the bike, and gave me a very reasonable price for it. Told me if I find the bike is good and I’ll be riding it for longer, I can patch up the other bits of it, which I’m thankful for the transparency and honest service. They’re good people and I trust them. Will definitely be coming back as a regular!
I was passing this place on a recent ride up the Hudson River Valley and popped in to ask advice about a mechanical issue that had been bugging me for weeks. The folks at Hudson Bikes fixed the problem in a few minutes. And the remarkable thing is how they did it—with courtesy, even joy. It was the very opposite of the grumpy-mechanic experience so typical of bike shops. A+
I’ve been riding bikes for a few years now but considering myself to be fairly ignorant about basic bike and mechanical issues so I’m often feeling pretty embarrassed whenever I bring my bike into shops for rather easy fixes or tune ups. I’ve stopped at Hudson Bikes twice, once last year and once this year, and have never felt less stupid at a bike shop before. The people here are incredibly generous and always happy to help me with my minor issues (like tightening my hard case saddle bag on my tri bike) no matter what. I’m not one to write reviews EVER but had to after my last visit because they didn’t even charge me for the service. Just incredibly generous and friendly and genuine. Would 100% stop here again and would gladly pay next time too 😂. Thanks Hudson Bikes!
Flat fixed in a jiffy! Thanks to Henry and his friends on a Sunday winter afternoon.
My friend and I were in and out of the shop. Thanks for the hospitality and help. We had 18 miles ahead of us that day from fort Lee to alpine round trip. We just started our ride when I got one of those mean screws right smack center of my rear tire.
It was cold.
Caught a flat
Had it fixed.
We kept going.
The end.
Henry thanks so much!! We finished our ride before sunset!
