Kevin from Kingpin Custom came highly recommended to me by my neighbor Kyle.
I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado that had an intermittent breaking issue. Kevin performed modern diagnostics as well as road tests. He determined it was coming from the rear brakes. The rotors and calibers were rusted, and they would intermittently become stuck. That is what was causing my braking issues. Kevin ordered premium brakes pads and rotors. Then he wire brushed those rusted parts and lubricated other parts. That is the way brakes are supposed to be repaired. He test drove my Silverado and I also test drove on highway and around town driving. My brakes felt brand new. Kevin is an old school and a new school mechanic. Joseph Cortina

10/17/25 - Kevin is a superior technician and takes a personal interest in each job. Every time I took my 3 year old Nissan Frontier to the dealer for an oil & filter change it would drip oil on my driveway for days afterward - the last time the dealer changed the oil it really never stopped leaving spots. I brought it to Kevin and it never left a drop. Kevin also offered some great tips on tire pressure and other areas of maintenance.
8/20/25 - Kingpin Custom came highly recommended to me by a friend. I called Kevin since I had a brake vibration problem on a 2023 Frontier with only 23,000 miles. After 2 visits to the dealer where they replaced the brake fluid then the rear brakes the vibration was still very noticeable. Kevin performed a number of diagnostic tests and determined it was coming from the front brakes even though it could not be felt through the steering wheel under normal conditions. Kevin replaced the front brakes at a fraction of the cost the dealer charged me for the rear brakes. I’m very happy to have found someone so knowledgeable and honest to service my vehicles.

Kevin found the problem in a few hours. 2 other shops in the area kept telling me I needed to replace the entire camshaft after trying numerous other replacements. Someone suggested Kingpin, left the car with Kevin, he hooked it up to the computer, took it for a drive. Told me what he thought it was from his experience. Did the work for a few hundred not a few thousand that the entire cam would cost. Kevin was extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy mechanic I have met in many years, have been recommending him since.

We've been searching for 3 years for a mechanic for our 2 '79 Trans Ams and finally found Kevin. We met with him and brought the first car to him within the week. He listened to our needs, and looked the car over and repaired the whole brake system, fixed the rattling exhaust, oil change, balanced all wheels and a few other things.
