I lived many of my adult years in Greenwich Village, less than a block away from The Jefferson Market Branch of the New York Public Library, and even participated as a member of their Gardening Committee for much of that time.

When I moved out of Manhattan, I was sure that I would never have a more positive experience when it came to libraries, but over the past 15 years, the Elberon Library and its wonderful librarians have reversed my thinking and proven me wrong.

During both the busy summers, and the long quiet winters, the Elberon Library provides its patrons with an exceptional combination of kindness, enthusiasm, activities, interaction, expertise and friendship.

I can clearly see that this branch is creating generations of more avid readers, and library goers, - the excitement of the young people as they enter the doors is palpable. They know at the youngest of ages that their warm welcome, in most cases by name, is seconds away.

Resident of all ages are very blessed to have the many incredible attributes that Elberon offers, and this library is very high up on that list. Perfectly situated on its own block and right by the train station, with ample parking and so easy to visit, - this is to so many of us not only a fantastic library, but also "much more than just a library".

I have been a patron here for a long time. Tara the branch manager is the main reason this branch has become better. Tara is a lovely woman. She is friendly and Nice. They have a writing club which I joined and enjoyed a lot. Among the many activities that do offer the club let me meet new people. It is a small and family oriented branch where Tara knows you by your name and makes you feel at home.
