I was looking through some of the other guest's reviews yesterday and couldn't help but notice a disproportionate and, in my opinion, unfair assessment of some of the challenges the staff at OOTH are facing.

I'll speak plainly, the water situation was problematic and quite unpleasant early on (I've been here since August) and definitely a a disappointment as I felt so excited about my gorgeous and elegant new apartment, it sort of rained on the parade (mind you the apartment is STILL unquestionably gorgeous, elegant, and spacious not to mention with IN UNIT W/D + DW...I mean come on!). In my opinion, the building and leasing staff have taken great pains to address the problem and provide timely communication on the status of things. I have noticed a considerable reduction in the water smell recently, and it's no longer the bothersome hindrance it used to be, in my opinion. I don't think it's completely fair to nail them to the cross for a situation largely out of their control that has been addressed with consideration and care.

I've seen some other people comment about noise, fire alarms, parking and the labyrinth quality of the building. Here's what I'll say - I rarely, if ever, hear outside noise and usually it's just coming through the front door. The sound barriers are damn near impenetrable as indicated by the lack of data / cell service I get in my unit (wifi calling hello) points to a very sound build. There's been one fire alarm in my time and admittedly that was wild, but like, get over it? Idk. There IS street parking on Chapel Avenue, but it's limited as people were parking in areas that were unmarked and it kind of turned that street into a free for all so I'm glad they've clamped down and enforced towing protocols. If you don't like paying for parking maybe don't live in a major city? Food for thought. And finally, yes, it's a big building but it's reaaaaalllly not that big a deal, don't let others make you think this is the frozen hedge maze from The Shining.

In summary, this building is stunning, located conveniently between JC and Bayonne with easy access to the city via ferry (weekdays) and the Path (weekends - there's a garage nearby Grove St station you can use) with impeccable amenities and a very lovely and supportive leasing staff. It's not one of those "feaux luxury" type builds that dump money into marketing at the expense of construction - I've had many people comment on the elegance and quality of design and aesthetics as they've visited. I moved here from across the country and can confidently say given all the factors, OOTH is exceptional value and has made for a very comfortable and enjoyable home!

I recently visited Oliver on the Hudson and was really impressed — not just by the property itself, but by how kind and welcoming the staff were. From the moment I walked in, everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely interested in helping me learn about the building. The leasing team took their time showing me around and answering every question. The building is beautiful, with modern finishes and amazing views of the Hudson, but the staff really made the experience stand out. Highly recommend stopping by for a tour if you’re considering moving to Port Liberty!

Just moved in a few weeks ago and I’m already so happy with the decision. The move-in process was super smooth, and the staff went above and beyond to make everything easy. Everyone has been professional, patient, and responsive with my requests, and they’re always so welcoming to our dog, the concierge team even keeps treats for him!

The apartment itself is beautiful, with lots of natural light, plenty of storage (especially compared to nearby buildings), and a layout that actually feels spacious. The amenities are out of this world! the two-floor fitness center is insane! The location is super convenient, and I’m excited to explore more of the neighborhood soon.

This place is such a hidden gem! Nestled between JC and Bayonne with quick access to the Turnpike, it’s truly the perfect location for my new home. The staff is amazing, and the apartments define luxury living, the oversized layouts offer so much storage space, and we’re obsessed. Having a balcony and a convenient garage next door is a huge plus. My fiancée can take the ferry into the city in just minutes, which makes commuting a breeze.

There’s so much to love here! from the shuttle service and great amenities to the on-site concierge. Our puppy enjoys the dog run, and I can’t wait to relax by the pool this summer.

I moved into the Oliver a couple weeks ago and I am so happy with my decision. I absolutely love it here. Matt was incredible to work with, made move in extremely easy, and the people working at the concierge are so nice and helpful. The amenities are amazing - sometimes I get overwhelmed because there’s so much to do and so many places to go I don’t know where to start! I have read the reviews below and I think everyone has their own experience, so I will share some of my thoughts.

If you have a dog, this is the place to be. If you don’t, you have to love dogs, because yes, the place is super dog friendly. It’s a game changer having not one but TWO dog parks in the courtyard.

The pool is beautiful. I am sitting out here right now and it’s luxurious. There are top of the line grills and a pizza maker out here too and plenty of seating. And if you want to sit outside but don’t want to be near the pool, don’t fret because there are so many more courtyard areas with sunny and shady places to sit and chill. (And there’s more grills)

And the frosting on the cake (which I didn’t even know when I signed the lease) is that you are on the Hudson River river walk which imo has the best view of the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty. AND if you keep walking on that path it takes you to the path along the golf course that is equally as beautiful.

Yes, the water sometimes smells a bit when you turned it on. TBH I’ve only noticed it a couple times and I am constantly washing my hands and showering etc. I am assuming it will be fixed soon.

The layout is confusing, yes, but once you get the hang of it you catch on quick.

I love it here and am so glad I found this place.
