I love this park. Big, beautiful and well kept. We attended Japanese festival this weekend... what a wonderful event even though the rain tried to ruin it! We ate great food, saw nice performances and echoed the day. July 4th is also memorable... highly recommended
Had a fun time at the japanese festival. The grounds were well capped lots of parking close by , except later on the day fill up fast
I’ve been to Overpeck County Park a few times, but my favorite visits have definitely been during their special events, especially the Fall Festival and Earth Day celebrations. The park really comes alive on those days with music, food, and families everywhere. It feels festive without being overcrowded, and it’s such a nice way to enjoy the outdoors.
On regular days, it’s a great spot for a peaceful walk or bike ride, with plenty of open space and water views that make it feel relaxing. Parking can get a little hectic during events, so I recommend getting there early.
It’s one of those parks that’s just as good for a quiet afternoon as it is for big community gatherings, always a nice place to come back to.
This county park is beautiful, with lots of greenery and the Hackensack river running on the side. great place for kayaking in the summer, great peaceful views and a long flat path for biking riding, rollerblading, running or just simple walking. This park has an amphitheater for festivals, 4th of July fireworks, carnivals, mini concerts, or other events. Along with soccer fields, tennis and paddleball courts, a big playground for children. Along with lots of parking and several restroom areas. Large areas to sunbath, picnic, and even fly kites!
I grew up in PAL Park and spent every summer at the pool for 20 years! Coming back decades later was a great experience. Clean and enjoyable. Worth the $20 bucks!
