Redeemer Lutheran Church was my family's first church after my husband and I had our children in 1986. Our small congregation started in a neighboring building before the beautiful church was built by so many wonderful people. My son, Kevin, was the first child baptized at this beautiful church. The ground-breaking for the permanent church happened with Kevin digging one of the holes in the dirt. Then, my twin sons were baptized in the church in 1988. Many great memories and I am so happy to see this church find success. Continued prayers and success!!

Redeemer has been my church since 2013. I came here because of location and stayed because it was so welcoming. I wanted to get involved and the people were so nice and easy to be with. I love the women’s bible study on Tuesday nights at 6:30. It has grown into a nice group and we just love the interaction before and after the study. There are so many opportunities to study the Word. Sunday morning at 9:00 is another really good bible study. That one is for men and women and we study with Pastor Berteau. Thank you to all the members who make Redeemer Manchester feel like home.

I have been a memeber in this church since 2013 and I must say that I’ve never experienced the love of a church family like I have at Redeemer Lutheran church. I am selling my home and will buy near just to not leave this church. Imagine that? The pastor, members and staff are very friendly and very very supportive. The pastor genuinely wants to be there for every single person that walks through the doors in every way possible. Pastor Berteau gives so much to the congregation in time, teaching and really taking to heart the welfare of the people, both in the congregation and out in the mission field. Yes! he truly cares. Yes! he is a good teacher of the Bible and Yes! we the members love him and his family. We are blessed that the good Lord has sent His ( Pastor Berteau) servant to take care of His flock (us). God is good indeed and is blessing us in such a way and every way. Thank you Lord Jesus.

I am especially thrilled that younger families with their children are joining this church. And YES! We do love the little children and teens who are members too. They are very important and are loved by all.

In response to someone leaving a review about a 13 year old sitting at the alter and crying babies in church. I truly and respectfully, write this in a very gentle and loving way. We should remember that we were teens once too, and as adults we shouldn’t find it difficult to stay focused at the Word being presented to us by pastor. The teen at the altar may have been fidgety, or bored, (I don’t know because I was focused on pastor and the Word of God), but isn’t it a beautiful thing that this young girl chooses to be in church than to be sleeping in or doing whatever she found enjoyable on a Sunday? Instead she came to church serving the LORD. Isn’t that what we want for our children? Is to go to church and seek God? I rather see these kids in church distracted or not, than to be out doing God knows what. I cannot assume if she was bored to death. But we shouldn’t judge regardless because she may have been going through something that day. Maybe she had a bad morning and was sad and couldn’t stay still. We simply do not know. I’m sure as children ourselves, we were fidgety too.

I remember as a teen going to church in Brooklyn, New York. I can tell you that I was not focused at all. Even so, the experience of going to church at a young age, always left me with the desire to continue to go to church and seek the LORD because I was blessed that my mom took me to church. Besides, how are children to learn about God?

The mothers with their crying babies are very good at using the crying room. Parents take turns brining in their child if there is excessive crying. But again, the fact that these mothers with all the stress of taking care of their little ones, getting up early on Sunday, getting the little ones up early to go to church, (which I’m sure is very difficult), trying to make them eat and rush out the door to church......they still make it a point to bring their families to the house of the LORD. What a wonderful sight to see indeed! Again, how are children to learn about God if the parents don’t bring them because they might cry in church.

This congregation truly loves families of all ages. This includes toddlers and crying babies too. We simply adore them, may it be crying babies, baby giggles or talking, mothers running after their little toddlers to catch them, pre-teens, teenagers who are fidgety or seem to us that they are bored to death, and everyone else in between. What a lovely sight to see these young families and teenagers choosing to seek God! The love in this church is overwhelmingly beautiful. The older congregation love them too.

These young families and teens and everyone else in between, know that they are truly loved and cherished by Pastor Berteau, the elders and the congregation and that is why they continue to come to Redeemer Lutheran Church.

All are truly welcomed with the spirit of God, love & support. Come and see......
In His precious name I pray for all. Amen. 🙏🏻❤️

Today was my second visit to the church. Very nice pastor and friendly congregation. I enjoyed the service tremendously. On the down side, there was a young girl about 13 years old sitting up at the altar with the pastor who was fidgeting incessantly putting her head in her lap, twirling her belt, shaking her feet as if to be totally bored to death, these are antics I would expect from a toddler and it was very distracting from the service. My other complaint is that this church has a crying room, which is great if these young mothers would use it. Instead they choose to sit through the service with their child crying and none of the deacons seem to get the message to point them to the crying room. It totally interrupts the service, for me at least. Maybe others don't seem to mind 3 screaming toddlers, I do. Other than that I will still give this church another chance.
