Have had major work done by SAS Parts and Performance on my
air cooled 1957 Beck Speedster, which included major engine repair, installation of a Fi-Tech Fuel Injection System (after removal of my Weber Carbs), fine tuning of the Fi -Tech System, electrical upgrades, as well as custom fabrication of Lexan side windows with slide open/close inserts that replaced the 'floppy'
plastic windows the car came with and allowed me to control air
flow into the cabin. Their expertise in working on so many varied
areas of this custom car can only be described as extraordinary.
Steve and Anthony are master mechanics and master technicians, the likes of which I have never come across before in a private ownership shop.

Horrible experience here. This shop was referred by the fuel injection company. Sent my truck up here for a small job that turned into a full build. They took over FOUR years to “finish” the truck; which they didn’t. Paid for working AC, had to take it to a local shop and get the AC working. They were supposed to replace my windshield. Nope. They painted the truck; poorly. Already having issues with the paint and I’ve had the truck back less than 4 months. Spots of paint are starting to crack, the rear tailgate wasn’t lined up correctly so it hits the bumper, they didn’t replace the tailgate panel (for some reason…) so I have a dented up tailgate on a freshly painted truck. The drip rails were painted horribly. You can see tape marks around the screws. I had them paint the wheels black but they didn’t remove the tires so there’s spots of missing paint around the valve stems.

Truck broke down the day after getting it back. They took the truck back and repaired it. Got it back a second time (a month later) and it broke down AGAIN; this time, causing significant damage because the rear wheel fell off while driving! They took the truck again (on my dime) and repaired it again. The paint repair is awful. The rear tailgate doesn’t line up at all now. You can see weld marks on the rear quarter where the repair was made. The truck runs awful now as well. Won’t go over 60mph. The transmission is leaking. I’ve put maybe 30 miles on it since getting it back because I have zero faith in it. I’m now stuck with a truck I can’t sell and I’m nervous to drive. All around terrible experience here. And it really pains me to even say that as Steve and his son are great guys. They really are. I feel like they take on more work then they can handle and I’m left holding the bag. I’ll also add to this in saying I never balked or complained about any bill they ever gave me. Not a single dollar.

Very knowledgeable in custom classic and high performance cars. The owners Steven and his son Anthony are down to earth and take the time to explaine any questions to his customers,I highly recommend them to anyone looking to get work done on their hot rod or looking to do a custom build 👍.
