The organist sang like an angel and the church itself is truly charming!

I went to 12 years of St Bons Catholic school. I graduated in 1953. I was an alterboy from 6th grade through senior year, I think. The inside has changed a lot. For the better I think. Bishop Manning was just a priest when I was in high school. He and I drove the girls basketball team to Brooklyn, to his sisters convent where the St Bons girls played the convents girls tream. He was a great friend to me, not just a priest. Blessings to all who are clergy and parishoners today. The picture is of me and my wife Katie

My parents were married here in 1955. Our family left the area in 1972 when my father took a job transfer. We had returned here last year for a family funeral. It was beautiful, and emotional, especially for my Mother. Dad passed in 2006.

Beautiful parish run by the Franciscan’s for over 100 years. The windows are beautiful and the pastor is a great priest. The grounds are lovely, as at one time the novice house was there.
