Dr. Ammar Al Rubaiay performed Morton’s neuroma surgery on my right foot. Before my surgery, every step was as though I was stepping on a sharp pebble. Having exhausted all treatment options, Dr. Ammar, being a wonderful person, doctor and surgeon, returned me to absolute comfort with the removal of that neuroma which was .9 cm! Thank you Dr. Ammar!!

He is a professional and skilled surgeon who displays courtesy, patience, attentiveness, and empathy. He responded to all of my issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner. When I first met Dr. Ammar Al Rubaiay my left ankle was in extremely “bad shape”.
I previously had an unsuccessful surgery done on that same ankle which left me with limited mobility in walking properly. Many of the Orthopedic surgeons that I consulted with, were not interested in taking the risk on botched surgery. Being the professional and optimistic person he is, Dr. Ammar’s words to me were very encouraging. He promised me that he will “try” his utmost in giving me a better quality of life. What else could I have asked for?… NOTHING!.
In September 2022, Dr. Ammar performed a very complex (six and an half hours) successful ankle surgery on me.
In my “honest opinion”, Dr. Ammar is one of the “best” doctors that I have ever come in contact with (and trust me! I have seen countless doctors/surgeons in my lifetime).
He is very caring, friendly, understanding, a good and attentive listener, and possess excellent bedside manners.
I will be eternally grateful to Dr. Ammar for giving me the ability of resuming a much better quality of life.

Dr. Al Rubaiay is a true gem and rarity in the healthcare field who treats you with dignity and respect. My 67-yr old father is a patient of his and every single visit to his office is encouraging. He did a successful job of my dad’s ankle fusion surgery at North shore University Hospital in August and dad is already back on his feet due to the wonderful care by doc and his team at the Great Neck office. His bedside manner at the hospital and private office is so kind and warm and he has also made sure dad gets everything he needs for a speedy recovery. I would recommend him a thousand times and I am so appreciative of the care my father is receiving at North Shore Foot and Ankle Associates.
