Okay guys don’t let the reviews fool you. It’s not bad! First off DON’T BUY NOTHING EXTRA until you get to the park some extras are not worth it because the thrill level is low and half of the extras be empty also save money and DON’T by that speed pass ticket. The wait time is less than 10 min -15 to get in to the houses. The drinks were okay, not crazy strong. Jello shots were good tho, definitely a good buy. Food was okay , can’t expect much from a haunted house park but it was doable just long wait times which is expected on a weekend which is when I went with friends. The houses are more adrenaline packed than scary. The actors chase you, they pop out from corners and on top! They jump from things and blend well with the props and animatronic figures to give you a good scare but not too much . THEY DONT TOUCH YOU BTW ! My party was amused and laughing the whole time. The park is great for pictures too. Staff was pretty helpful and friendly. Security was seen and doing thier jobs, since something had occurred in the park and they got rid off the person causing a ruckus. But nothing major that interrupted anyones visit, at least not mine. Overall 9/10 , I just wish it was longer & a lil more scarier but I enjoyed ! First Haunted House in the books for me ! Yall should definitely check them out!!!
I liked certain esthetics. Went on a Thursday. There wasn't many people in general. The mansion had the most actors and decorum. The temple was basically me and my partner just wandering through a maze. it even lacked basic decor and there were only a couple actors in it. Basically was an experience and that was that. I don't recommend for the price and the strict no refund even if weather is bad
My fiancé has been a haunt actor for over 10 years on the west coast (where he’s from). I have been a haunt actor for 3 years, and a film and horror enthusiast my entire life. We came to Bayville Scream Park tonight for the first time ever; based on previous bad reviews, I wasn’t expecting much…but was pleasantly VERY surprised by this haunt attraction! Do NOT listen to the bad reviews if you’re a haunt enthusiast like my fiancé and I. We understand first hand the amount of work that gets put into building a seasonal haunt like this, and we were SO impressed. The attention to detail in the haunt scenes was incredible. The props and animatronics were all TOP notch…visibly high quality, both vintage and newer pieces…as an oddities and horror memorabilia collector, I could tell, and was in awe of some of the animatronics and prop pieces included in the haunt sets. There were several stand out haunt actors, one in particular in the Asylum house that really impressed us…I wish I could remember their name, but they were an insane clown type of character towards the end of the asylum…truly excellent haunt actor that I could tell loves their job. The themed drinks at both the regular and secret bars were all delicious and pretty strong. The syringe Jell-O shots were tasty and so much fun! The food at Shipwreck restaurant was delicious, and the decor inside the restaurant itself was spectacular. The staff were all incredibly nice, accommodating, and helpful. I was so excited to learn that the owner of Bayville Scream Park also used to own Jekyll & Hyde NYC…a horror themed restaurant that I spent many days at (including my 16th birthday party) growing up…it was one of my favorite things to visit in NYC and I was literally devastated to find out they closed down after the covid shut downs. Once I was told the owner was the same, I knew why the Scream Park was SO well done and had so many impressive set builds, props, and animatronics. I would love to sit and chat with the owner sometime because I have so many ideas for future haunt builds at this place and would love to meet a fellow haunt enthusiast that I’ve unknowingly admired for so many years growing up at Jekyll & Hyde NYC! We had a blast and intend to visit Bayville Scream Park again in October! Our favorite haunts there were the Insane Asylum and Bloodworth Manor, but they were genuinely all great. We are thinking of auditioning next year!
Went for the Not so Scary kids time slot. No actors but the staff was mostly friendly. One man had had enough for the day by the time we got there but the other 10 staff members we saw were great. Loved the decorations and the food in the tavern was good. The attractions that were open were entertaining for my 8 year old. Older kids might not have found this time slot so exciting. Overall pretty good. would like to try again when ours is older for the night attractions.
