Today I had the most extraordinary delivery experience that I can remember.
I live in a tiny bungalow with an incredibly steep and narrow flight of stairs up to my 7 foot and sloped ceiling bedroom.
I was having a 260 pound adjustable bed base delivered by four fabulous men.
When they initially viewed the situation they felt that the delivery could not be made and would have to be abandoned. Upon seeing my disappointment, James began to measure and plot various ways to make it work. Altogether they decided to give it a shot, with only about 2 inches of leeway, according to James’ exacting measurements, they lifted the base and, using great strength and care for the surroundings, they managed to accomplish the seemingly impossible. They put the legs on the base to the height that made the most sense, and centered the bed against the wall. Then they placed the mattress on the unit and proceeded to test it’s functions. Thankfully, it appeared to work just fine.
When they saw how happy they had made me, they were all smiles.
They were so friendly and eager to help, I truly cannot lavish them with enough praise.
