To be painfully honest and solely in my opinion, having a vehicle that runs on compressed gas is a nuisance!!! Although there are pros such as it being helpful to the environment, the several miles to the gal.and the price,(my car on an empty tank costs $19-$21 to completly fill)so,one would would think,HEY!!!! what are the cons?
Well, let's see. The No.1 complaint is there aren't many filling stations,on Long Island l!!! You always need to map your destinations near or close to a station, always have a full tank, just in case, have a reliable Tow comp.on speed dail.Travelibg out of state is a big NO NO,the further you go,the less CNG's there are. So what's the use in having an environmentally sound or helpful vehicle if your unable to travel from state to state worry free. Oh,another inconvenience is ,if there is a small issue, say a small compressed gas leak or your tires aren't filled properly or you travel 65 to 70 mph,oh yeah, even idling for to long, depletes your fuel very quickly. Yoy must also be a very good and dedensive driver. Avoid car accidents especially getting hit from behind, yes, where the CNG tank is located.in the trunk, which is very, very tiny.
I learned the hard way. No,not an accident, thank GOD,but very ,very, very low fuel.
Again,in my opinion, it's an around the town vehicle. You do acclimate yourself of course, with the station(s)that may be in your area, town etc.and take it from there. And,as long as you have a CNG car as your primary vehicle, let's just say, there won't be any Southernly family reunions in my future, driving, that is!!!
    Thanks for reading!! 😉
