The store is quaint and filled with memories of days gone by. The proprietor is a cordial, friendly fellow. It was nice talking with him. My grandson Zach is 16 and loves collecting spoons. He was able to score 5 more spoons to add to his collection. It was a fun visit.
I've been stopping here for about fifteen years on my travels to and from New England on the I-84 corridor. I never seem to learn my lesson and wonder if there is ever new merchandise, still I always stop in hope. I get the impression the owner inherited the shop and really isn't knowledgeable about or into selling antiques, or even cleaning the shop which is covered in years of dust. Basically it is a disorganized assortment of old glass, china, and kitsch with some books thrown-in; even with a slight discount the prices often exceed market value.
I have been shopping here for years. I don't get the opportunity to visit as often as I used to but the owner and I have such similar taste. Yes, the style selection can be a bit narrow but if it's your style there is so much there to work with. Even the accessories are great. I always feel a bit like I am raiding Stevie Nicks closet and that the designers of the clothes are former NYC club girls living on the prairie. I have picked up some great clothes for Goddess-wear and outfits that definitely got me a lot of compliments and looked like no others at functions. Definitely a place for the woman that want's to stand out in a crowd.
Love the styles of clothes. She is a sweet lady. She has tie-dye, vintage and a variety of dresses,slacks and tops.A great experience.
Fun to browse. Nice person who runs it. Reasonable prices. Hidden gems. Take your time. Stop at soons farm for coffee and baked goods on way back.
