J&G Moving made our relocation from Crown Heights to Harlem completely stress-free. We booked them for full-service packing and moving based on a referral, and they exceeded expectations. Their pricing was competitive and fair compared to other quotes we received.

The team handled everything professionally. Their packing was meticulous and nothing was damaged during the move. The entire process was seamless from start to finish. Moving is never fun, but J&G made it as painless as possible. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for future moves and will definitely be referring them to others.

2025 - I absolutely hate that I can't leave more than one Google review. This is now the third time I've used J & G Moving. These guys are the absolute best. I want to scream it from the mountaintops. Jovan gives you a quote. It includes everything. There's no hassle. The guys show up on time. They are sooooo careful with your things. Today, it was Nick, Tony, and Tommy and they were perfect. We were taking our stuff from the storage unit to my Mom's house. They finished the entire move in 2 hours and even attached the mirror to the dresser. They were so considerate of my Mom's wishes and removed the dusty moving blankets that had been on the furniture in the storage unit before carrying the furniture into her house. I highly recommend this company. A million thanks!

2021 - This is the second time I've used J & G Moving. These guys are the best. Jovan provides a quote and that's the amount--no hidden fees, no song, no dance. Really simple! They arrived on time and first took a look at what we were moving. We had created a detailed plan since we were moving our stuff into a storage unit and wanted to ensure it would all fit so there wouldn't be any issues the day of the move. (FYI, a 10 x 10 storage room is not really 10 x 10.) Matthias, Mike, and Robi worked efficiently and carefully and made suggestions to tweak our plan for better protection of our fragile items in storage. Their professionalism was a soothing balm on my frazzled nerves. Lately, it seems customer service is on the decline, so when you find a company that goes the extra mile, it really is refreshing. I was glad to find out that they do interstate moves, too, since that may be in our future. I highly recommend them. Save yourself time and aggravation researching all the other companies with policies in tiny print. Just go with J & G Moving. You won't be sorry.

I was very diligent in my search for a moving company, and honestly had the best experience with J&G Moving Company. Out of 10+ companies that I was recommended from my workplace and contacted, J&G had the best quote while also having good online reviews. From initial setup to move-out to move-in, I was impressed with their professionalism and efficiency.

When I first contacted J&G on Yelp, they were prompt in their responses through Yelp/email and had open communication/transparency by letting me know when to expect the COI or other details about the move. Later a day or two before the move, they made sure to confirm with me over the phone and also closely communicated with me for ETAs. During the move, they were prompt with their arrival and even came a few minutes earlier to scope out the parking situation. I appreciate that upon entering each of the movers introduced themselves to us and then immediately got to work. We had some unexpected issues with the move-out location’s service elevator, and the J&G movers maintained good spirits, working flexibly to use the time to survey what supplies they needed to bring up to help with the move and also secured our large furniture pieces to save time. They brought ample moving cloths and I felt well-assured that several furniture items (adjustable standing desk, media console, large TV screen, and large desk monitor) were safe. They also helped us securely pack some small plants in a box with filler paper. When we realized that we had left dishware in the dishwasher, they were quick to give us one of the extra boxes they had brought. Each time they packed, if boxes weren’t already sealed, I appreciated that they were considerate and would check in with us if it was okay that they closed the open box (only a few that we had left open for last minute items). We didn’t ask them to, but I even saw that at our move-in location, they delicately dressed the bed with the bed skirt as it was originally at our move-out location, a testament to their attention to detail.

All in all, I couldn’t recommend J&G Moving Company enough. Though they are based in Astoria, we had such a smooth move from Jersey City to upper Manhattan. I am happy to know that the next time I move, I can save time researching different companies, and go with J&G Moving company because I had such a great experience and trust their service.

The team at J&G moving were very efficient, friendly and reliable. I was worried about the move being 8 months pregnant at the time, but the guys took care of every little thing and were done packing, moving, unpacking and re-installing our furniture in less than 3 hours. I highly recommend their services to anyone in Astoria!
