It's a small library but you can request almost any book. DVD lending library is large. The lower level is all about children and there is so much to explore. Monthly book club, public readings, seasonal events, and occasional performances. Check their website for events. A great local library with friendly and helpful staff.

What a terrific library! It's so cozy and pleasant inside, and the staff are so friendly to us and our toddler every time we come inside.

A great little library in the heart of Cold Spring. Check out their calendar for a wide variety of events. We enjoyed our visit there which was to apply for a passport for my son. Making an appointment was easy and Jessica was knowledgeable, kind and patient with me when I failed to fill out the from completely/correctly. Great experience overall and hope to come back to check out some of their other resources and events!

I love this library. It's an incredible resource for the community. The staff are wonderful and the library of "stuff" you can borrow (besides books) is really cool.

This is a lovely library, with a friendly helpful staff and excellent programs for toddlers, school-age children, teens, and adults. The collection is very good, but rather small. However, as part of the Mid-Hudson Library System card holders can order books, DVDs, audio books, etc. from many other regional libraries and pick them up at Butterfield.
