Monique African Hairstylist

As someone who has grew up on the island, I must say Monique African Hairstyle was a first time for me, as I already have someone that I go to for hairstyles. I went to Monique African Hairstyle on Tuesday August 19, 2025 because my original stylist had gotten back to me late and I really needed to do my hair. I am very happy with the results and overall appearance. Monique did have to rearrange the hairstyle slightly from the original picture because one side of my hair is shorter than the other. Also to add that she is very convenient to get too.

After being on this full island and experimenting with different stylists, I can say Monique is the best out here! She redid the front of my Fulani braids SO NEATLY. She took her time w my hair. Mind you this is a touch up and her work looks better than the ORIGINAL!!! If you’re looking for clean parts AND good customer service on the island “Monique African Hairstylist” is your Woman!

This was my most pleasant braiding experience. I normally hate sitting to get my braids done but Monique was very nice and her setup was comfortable. She did a great job and I’ve gotten so many compliments.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!! this was my first time coming to Monique, and she’s the best. Very gentle, hair is neat, isn’t tight or heavy on the head and you get exactly what you ask for when you show a picture. I highly recommend Monique to any/everyone if you need your hair braided! thank you again Monique i will be back very soon.

If you want a private African hair braiding stylist, this is the salon for you. Braiding is by appointments which I like. Monique knows how to braid hair with gentle hands that you do not feel pain or tenderness. Just bring her a picture and she will recreate the hairstyle as well as consult with you. When your hair is done, you will be with a happy satisfied face. My hairstyle turned out so nice that I received lots of compliments from my family, friends, co workers and strangers outside. Will definitely be back.
