Food was very good and came fresh and hot (I ordered the Kathy Curry, around $12?) Owner was super sweet and welcoming, and the cafe was very cozy and homey-feeling. The music choices were soothing and soft. One disappointment is that their menu has changed completely and no longer matches up with their online one, sad that I didn’t get to try their waffle dessert or pastas! :(

A very sweet and cozy little Chinese owned cafe that is reminiscent of a warm living room kind of setup. The owner was friendly, kind, and receptive towards listening to feedback to continue to improve and provide diners with the best experience possible! She spoke Cantonese, Mandarin and English, which was very impressive! I got the matcha red bean drink with tapioca, which was very creamy and not overly sweet; it's cute that it comes in a beer mug which adds to its charm. The volcano mussels were very flavorful, meaty, and reasonably priced, so highly recommend! The shrimp and sausage pasta was also very delicious, but could be improved easily by adding a little bit more cheese, bit more sausage, and onions, all of which would add more complexity to the dish to simply make it the perfect comfort food! The egg waffle was by far the BEST egg waffles you can find in all of NYC in my opinion; the side around each egg waffle was deliciously crunchy, and the interior was soft with a light egg flavor that doesn't taste as artificial as many other egg waffle places! I bought some home for my daughter and "accidentally" ate half haha, and my daughter loved it! So please give their plain egg waffle a try and enjoy its simplistic yet perfectly balanced flavor profile!

Overall I had such an amazing time here and will definitely come back with my family to try the many other dishes they have to offer! Thank you so much for reading and best of luck! (:

Recently tried this spot for the first time, everything was delicious! The menu is very impressive and there are so many unique options for tea and lattes. Our food was very clearly prepared fresh. The owner was extremely sweet and accommodating. The atmosphere is cozy, comfortable, and feels like you are hanging out in someone's living room. Can't wait to go back!

Just left this place and i will definitely be coming back.

Food: Had the Passionfruit green tea. Absolutely delicious, they even added pieces of fresh strawberries on top.

Service: The nicest lady took my order, very pleasant and friendly.

Atmosphere: i will definitely come here to sit down one of these days and try their food. The place looks great, very homey and chill.

Its always great to find such a nice little spot, with good food and friendly people.

    HOW WAS THE ATMOSPHERE?

We had an amazing evening at the Orchid Tea Cafe. Upon walking in, it was a busy but calm atmosphere! Definitely unique decor!

Because the space is so small, we called beforehand to make sure there was a table available, and when we came in, she asked if we called and definitely accommodated us!

Even if I am not in the neighborhood, this is a great spot to travel to when I want a nice quiet, cozy place with a Amazing Food and great service to meet up with a friend or go out on a date

    HOW WAS THE FOOD?

We got a special black tea, a hot coffee boba, the volcano mussels, the cucumber salad, and the seafood spaghetti

Volcano Mussels and Spicy cucumber salad (wasn’t that spicy- but I believe you can adjust spiciness) both were a 10 out of 10

My friend had the spaghetti seafood pasta. She would probably say it was a 7.5/10.

They ran out of tapioca bubbles, so we were not able to try them.

    WAS THE SERVICE GOOD?

I believe we were helped by the owner of the shop? We met her son and immediately felt right at home. It was like she welcomed us right in. Even though they were consistently receiving orders, she was still very attentive and answered all of our questions

    WILL WE COME BACK?

When I am in the neighborhood, I will 100% be returning back - #1 for the service #2 for the flavor of food ( am a big flavor snob) and #3 for the atmosphere
