A beautiful seaside Catholic Church awaits you as you enter Point Lookout. Over the last eighty-plus years from mass on the beach to Fire House sermons, in 1938, Father Butler, the first pastor, finally had it all - congregation, property, and a church. Lenny Little, a local builder, took only three weeks to complete a pre-fabricated structure, which in the world of construction is itself it's own kind of miracle. As he oversaw his parish, the decades passed the congregation grew, and so did the religious campus to include a beautiful shrine dedicated to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, embellished Stations of the Cross, benches, plantings, memorials, a large gymnasium as well as a recreation hall.
From the leadership of several pastors, priests, layity, and year-round active parishioners collectively, they have worked tirelessly to improve the parish buildings and to get the young people involved in the Church. Thus, this is a beautiful place for reflection, prayer, and to seek spiritual support.
