I truly can’t say enough good things about St. Mark’s Cooperative Nursery School. As a parent, choosing the right early childhood education setting for my child was incredibly important. St. Mark's is a warm, welcoming environment that truly prioritizes the children’s well-being and development. One of my favorite features is the play-based learning approach. The staff creates engaging, hands-on activities that allow children to explore, experiment, and learn at their own pace. It’s clear that the curriculum is designed not only to foster academic growth but also to nurture creativity, social skills, and emotional intelligence. My child has thrived in this kind of environment, developing new interests and gaining confidence each day. The teachers are absolutely exceptional. They are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also incredibly caring and patient. They know each child well and take the time to understand their individual needs, which makes all the difference in the world. Another thing I love about St. Mark’s is the strong sense of community. The staff, parents, and children all feel connected, and as a cooperative environment, the nursery encourages collaboration and involvement, which is especially great for new parents. As a parent, I feel supported and appreciated, and it’s easy to get involved in school events and activities. There’s a real sense that everyone is working together to provide the best possible experience for the kids. St. Mark’s places the children first in everything they do. From the way the teachers interact with the kids to the way the nursery is organized, everything is centered around creating a positive and nurturing space for children to grow and learn. My son is in the 4s this year and loving every minute while preparing for Kindergarten, and I can't wait to watch my daughter thrive in the 2s next year. I cannot recommend St. Mark's enough!

My son Aaron Esar was in the 4’s class last year 2024 with Mrs. Testa & Mrs. Megan, he graduated this year 2025, such a different and more confident little man. The experiences, the arts and crafts, story times and play that he got attending this program has far exceeded our expectations. Not forgetting the love, care, encouragement and nurturing he got from his teachers. My only regret is that I didn’t send him here sooner. But we’re still so grateful and thankful for all they did to help with Aaron’s development and learning experience. We highly recommend this school, and all its staff! ❤️

St. Mark’s is truly a special place. While there are several great schools to choose from in the immediate area, St. Marks offers a warm, caring atmosphere that is unmatched. The teachers and staff are incredible. They really care about each one of their students and bring such a positive energy to the classroom.

The way the St. Marks approaches the cooperative experience isn’t overwhelming for working parents or caretakers, and ultimately makes you to feel more connected to the school.

My son is in the 3s class this year and was in the “2s Together” class last year. The “2s Together” was a great option last year because my son has a fall birthday and was too young to do real school last year. He got an introduction to school that was age appropriate for him and for our family.

We love it here. It’s a great school and community. The committee work can seem intimidating at first but is extremely low maintenance— almost halfway through the year and my only responsibility so far has been to donate a few bottles of wine for the parents social at back to school night. I love the fact that parents and family members get to visit the classroom on a regular basis for their “special day.” My son loves having his grandparents or other special visitors come into his classroom. The teachers are excellent and the director, Mrs. Creegan, is kind and so great with the kids, and runs a great organization. I am so glad we enrolled here.

St. Marks is such a special school. When touring the school for my son, I could tell right away this was the school for my family. It is a warm, loving, inviting environment that values family participation. The teachers are truly amazing. In the twos and threes, most learning is done through play and it is so incredible how much learning is tucked into fun activities. My favorite part of St. Mark’s cooperative program is the special days in the classroom. Once children are in elementary school, it is so hard to join in on the learning done inside the classroom. Special days allow parents or caregivers the opportunity to spend the day inside the classroom and see their child’s learning in action. When my son was in the threes last year, it was so nice to be able to extend his school day with lunch bunch and with special enrichment classes. He especially loved the science class and still talks about the experiments! This year my daughter is in the two transition class. I love that I get to join her for the first half of the year and then she will transition to going by herself for the second half. I know she will be ready for the threes program next year because of this wonderful class offering. I joined the school’s board as my volunteering opportunity and it is so lovely to be surrounded by a community of kind, motivated parents who all want to make our children’s first school experience positive and memorable. I cannot say enough great things about St. Marks!
