A unique "must-go-to" spot on one's Sunday's travel to list.
I learnt the church was once an under ground railroad for slaves and built shortly after the Trinity church in lower Manhattan, then rebuilt across the street from local quarry stones from Piano Mountain nearby.
Certainly has a history in early America undiscovered, along the Revolutionary trail and was frequented by the famous protestant circuit riders in the 1700's.

And the stain glass windows are wonderful, memorializing the original members of the surrounding communities.
It's amazing the history in this small town of Shrub Oak as well.
Definitely a Sunday drive to consider. I hope to do it again.
It is easier to understand for new Christians especially for younger children and adolescents. Beautiful place to worship
