If you find yourself in Amsterdam and taking a bit of a hike, you can stop by and get a nice reward right before 133rd street with this local joint.

I got the fried chicken sandwich with the combo (which contains a drink and hefty amount of fries). I paid $14.14 after tax and I still feel full six hours later.

The food is solid but the service and attention to detail is what makes Uptown Wingz so dope. The cashier went out of her way to move a small table for me to sit and eat. Customers who came in were greeted not only with a friendly smile but also clear references to her livelihoods and families. This is a restaurant where excellent relations and good vibes are abound. To their continued success!

I’m from Atlanta, GA: chicken wing capital of the world. I have lived in New York City since 2021 and one of my biggest complaints was that I miss some good chicken wings. Uptown Wingz did NOT disappoint. Excellent customer service. The food is fantastic. And they deliver. Edit 2 months later: I can’t figure out how to leave a new review but the customer service has plummeted greatly. And they don’t allow card orders over the phone. I’m not sure what happened to the young lady who used to answer the phone before but whoever is doing the orders now has cost them my business. And that’s disappointing.

I’ve walked past this place several times and was skeptical on trying it. Coming from the south it’s very hard to find good wings up here. When I tell you these wings made me feel like I was back home!!! They were perfect!!!! Fried to perfection, hot, and drenched in sauce! I had the wings and fries with the Uptown Special sauce. I was hesitant about just ordering a random sauce and asked for a sample. Mannnnn when I tell you that sauce was like CRACK! And I’ve never had crack a day in my life but it was FIREEEEEE! Not only was the food outstanding, but the customer service was unmatched, especially for New York City standards! The staff were extremely friendly, caring, and just all together awesome! Also if you prefer all flats (which I do) there is a $1 up-charge, which is reasonable. If you’re in need of some juicy, hot, tasty, and fresh “WINGZ” look no further, UPTOWN WINGZ IS THE PLACE! It is important to emphasize the adage, “Do not judge a book by its cover.” I initially held a biased perspective regarding Uptown Wingz as it had been my preferred Chinese restaurant in the area for an extended period. When my daughter inquired whether I had tried the new wing establishment, I emphatically responded that I had no intention of doing so. However, I soon observed that my husband and granddaughter frequently ordered from this new venue. I expressed my concerns about their apparent lack of loyalty, to which my granddaughter encouraged me to sample the food, asserting that it was quite good.

Upon finally trying the food, I regretted my earlier hesitation. Fiona, the woman at the front, possesses a delightful personality and exudes kindness, which contributes positively to the overall experience. While I acknowledge that the prices may be somewhat higher, it is essential to recognize that the quality of the food justifies the cost. A single order is often sufficient to satisfy two individuals. Additionally, the establishment offers prompt delivery service, ensuring that the food arrives piping hot. Consequently, this restaurant has now become my favored option for ordering food in the area.

Great restaurant added to the neighborhood!!! Everything is made fresh from the scratch, every bite is mouthful of favor. Definitely coming for other items on the menu.
