Dr. Kumar is extremely helpful. Listened to my concerns and addressed my issues. It was a comfortable visit and Dr.Kumar made me feel at ease. Highly recommend
Dr Vivek was fantastic. Got an appointment on a Sunday morning for eye pain and was diagnosed with a scratched cornea that is infected. I had no idea I would’ve left with this issue. He was so thorough, so kind and so gentle. Thank you very much!

I was very pleased with my experience with Dr. Kumar today. I didn't want to wait for an appointment, since I had been experiencing eye discomfort and a bloody area under my eyelid for the past two days. The office was able to give me appointment within a couple of hours of my call. Dr. Kumar was very thorough and explained things well. He extracted the tiniest fragment of an eyelash , which had obviously been irritating the eye. He answered my questions patiently. He patiently repeated himself a few times, because he speaks very quickly, and I have a hearing loss despite wearing hearing aids.
This was my first time visiting this office, as I usually go to the Amityville location in Long Island where the staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, my experience at the Hewlett office was very different. The first staff member I saw, who administered the eye drops to dilate my eyes, was very rough and hostile in his approach. I even had to express my discomfort to another staff member during my eye exam because of how unpleasant it felt.
That said, I always enjoy seeing Dr. Kumar himself. He’s kind, attentive, and takes the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly, as he always does. However, based on this experience, I personally would not return to this location and would rather travel back to the Amityville office for future visits.
