I got the ribeye and it was great. The chicken noodle soup was way better than I expected. We went back for more soup and veggies.
While traveling the country I love stopping at diners, and the Village Diner was the classic American diner, like the Silver Diner chain. It’s a classic silver diner with modern, updated comfort food. The Village Diner has a casual atmosphere with a mix of booths and a counter, with a 1950’s feel, like you would expect, with a menu of American classics and healthier options.
I had the French toast, with butter , cinnamon and powered sugar. I do love listening to the counter staff chat with the regular locals, it’s added to the experience of the local diner. So if you’re driving up I84 in Milford PA, make this a stop, it’s conveniently located right off the highway.
They do not mention that the french fries in your dish ($5), or tomatoes and onions in your burger (less than $2) are with fee. But apart from that, loved the people working there. The waitress was very helpful and kind. We were trying to find an authentic looking american diner as in the US movies that takes part in wild west, and there it was:)
And menu was very long with plenty of food.
Note that they close at 9pm but their kitchen closes at 8:30 pm, so do not go last minute.
Today my family and I had breakfast at a cafe. It is a roadside cafe, similar to a metal train car. The room is small, the interior is simple and interesting. The atmosphere is friendly. We were served by Giorgina (I may have the wrong name), she is very nice. My family is very picky about food, we try to eat healthy. We chose omelettes, my husband with mushrooms, I with broccoli, we refused sides (different types of potatoes, toasts). My daughter ordered scrambled eggs. We also ate pancakes. The waitress decided to bring us omelettes with home-made potatoes. And it was great, everything was delicious, not salty, not sweet, not fatty, like in other similar places. We liked everything very much. Definitely 5 stars!
