Wow nice place. Very history. They have some very nice librarian personnel. It has a welcoming atmosphere.
Hubert is a star employee, he is friendly, helpful and very handsome. He deserves a raise
I used to love coming to this library, but lately it seems there are a lot of new staff members and none of them are friendly. The last few times I came here, it was super awkward. No one greets you when you walk in. No one says hi when you get to the check out counter. They just stare at you while you're moving about the library, as if you're about to shoplift books that are free to check out. There's now also a desk in the middle of the fiction section where someone sits and watches a big computer featuring every surveillance camera set up throughout the library. Anyone walking by can see what's going on, on the screen. I don't know, I always thought that was the kind of setup you had in a back room somewhere.
All of this to say, it's just a really weird vibe now and I miss the old librarians.
Beautiful library with comfy chairs and friendly librarians. Plenty of quiet areas for working or studying.
Don’t be discouraged if the big “front” door is locked; they use the one on the street side as their actual main entrance.
This location is right down the street from my home which is very convenient. It is very beautiful on the inside and out and always very well kept. They have a great selection of books in every genre you can imagine. Everyone is totally friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend 100 percent. Plus as a bonus they have many programs for all ages as well as online access to e books, movies, music, you even have your very own log in to keep track of the history of books you’ve borrowed, what’s due when, you can make a”wish list” of books you want to read in the future. They also have an amazing program to “ check out” passes to different museums, parks, locations etc where the free is either wavered or at a great discount (for the whole family) which is just AMAZING to me! Again I totally recommend taking a stop in if your in the area (and to become a proof member) happy reading!!!!
