College campus is Student diverse, and most of all professors are friendly and helpful with on campus Ace tutors to help struggling students.
NVCC will always be part of my journey!
NVCC was the prerequisite for a Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Counselor Education. I still remember one poster saying “Your education, your responsibility.”
I’d be lying if I said that statement never made me upset while juggling work and school to be the person I am today. Writing classes with Professor Foster and Eddy, uplifted my writing skills.
Enough to where I published “The Burntout Story” on Amazon. Addressing the past is part of the process when moving forward in-life.
NVCC strives for the best outcomes on a regular basis.
Since you are here, it only fair for me to share some quotes formed throughout the years.
“Latitude to Gratitude is based on our attitude.”
“The best way to pay homage to our lineage is through breaking chains of generational pain.”
“Patience is one form of compassion.”
“When we Believe, we prevail. Without Faith, we crumble.”
“Are you a warrior or a worrier?”
“Writing is a garden of the mind.”
Life is worth an honest effort.”
Without NVCC, this post wouldn’t exist.
Praise the Lord.
Thanks for being here!
Getting information from anyone has been nearly impossible since I started here not even a year ago. I’ve had many professors just not answer emails. They finally decided to process a transcript 6 months later after I already registered, paid for, and taken the course and after emailing for about a month they did nothing to rectify the situation. And lastly getting dropped from a course for non participation after doing all the work for the course. Oh and I was going for nuclear medicine and they decided to tell me a month before the application deadline that one of my course from another college was actually not gonna cut it and I would need to wait another year. Wow what a place I gotta tell you.
I was only there for one semester. I got very lucky with the professors (art his - Prof Franco and Prof Lebel for 2D design - highly recommend both).
The campus is clean and well maintained, plenty of parking.
The students are friendly and welcoming.
The bursar office and the career center did not meet my expectations. Everyone was nice though.
I wish they had Student ID scan security check in upon entrance to the campus.
It's a good college to take a few classes within your CT state college network. I would not recommend it as your home campus though.
