Attended a funeral at St. Anthony's last week. The Mass was done beautifully and the homily shared so many wonderful attributes about the person we lost. So grateful to the priest for giving us all this wonderful memory to take away. Music was wonderful as well.

Father Tucker Is a good priest, always working hard and helping people. He came when we called him when our friend was passing. Sacrament of the sick prayer was done. Then we prayed with Father Tucker.
That made understand how important our Catholic religion is , and how much it really does help us in everyday life. It brings us together as a community and strengthens our spirit and our belief in God.❤😊

Father Tucker is the perfect blend of old school catholic with enough common sense to be progressive. He is terrific - the genuine article. I find the music overwhelming (not in a good way). It is too loud and the soloist interjects many directions that are unnecessary. I appreciate it when she sings only the hymns and not the prayers. It seems as though she is performing rather than leading a community of people in song. Also, the performance during communion is often overbearing, interfering with my ability to engage in quiet meditation. The music belongs to the congregation - not an appropriate place to "perform" She should not singing for us or at us.

I attend church every week with my daughters and we had been church-hopping ever since we moved out of Wolcott to Thomaston. It wasn't until we went to St. Anthony of Padua (now St Louis de Montfort because of its merge with neighboring towns) that we felt we'd found the place we wanted to go faithfully (!). Father Tucker is a "tough love" kind of person who tells it like it is. I enjoy his masses and homilies very much! And the church is pleasant and cozy (just don't sit behind a pillar which will obstruct your vision of the altar :-)).

A Catholic Church that gets what life is all about. Father Tucker is in step with his congregation and unravels the scripture so all can understand. You always leave with a heart rejuvenated to love one another. Parishioners are warm and open to everyone.
