A hidden gem in the heart of Connecticut. I'd like to introduce you to this excellent restaurant, which, with its variety of seafood dishes, impressed us from the moment we arrived. We loved everything, from the atmosphere to the service we received. Especially Michelle, who greeted us with a smile as soon as we walked in, and made sure we had everything we needed. When I called to make the reservation, because we were a large group, she recognized me as soon as we arrived, smiled, and said, "Hey, you're the ones with the reservation, right?" and I said, "Yes, that's us!" and they seated us right away. The atmosphere and the vibe are fantastic; it feels like an authentic local restaurant. I loved the wide variety of food they have on the menu. It's very diverse, from shrimp and lobster to fried shrimp, tacos, and much more. I give the drinks a 10 out of 10; all their cocktails were delicious, especially the passion fruit one.
I am kind of a snob when it comes to five stars. This place was pretty close. We really enjoyed it. The food was great. I actually came home and made some clams just to try to replicate it. Of course I fell short, but they were okay. I think that the prices are pretty typical for this quality of food. Everything we had was very good. I would definitely go here again.
The food was awesome. The waitress was amazing. She gave excellent recommendations. She was fun. The atmosphere was perfect and made the place fun. Can't wait to go again.
I feel so lucky that I was able to pop by and visit this seafood restaurant. They are absolutely one of the best I've been to, and I say this as someone who lives on the Florida coast where fresh seafood is the norm.
They have The Best lobster roll I have EVER had anywhere in the entire nation or even the Northeast. Even better than by the water in Maine. The price is high, but fair for what you get. There's ZERO FILLER here. You get 100% fresh lobster claw meat, unlike other places that charge $25 for a couple pieces of shredded canned lobster and a bun full of lettuce.
Their U10 grilled shrimp was also delicious and huge.
I was STUFFED after eating all that, but so satisfied that I got what I ordered and got my money's worth.
The bartender was friendly and helpful and I thank all of you there who gave me a perfect experience. I ordered my food to go so she even packaged my lobster meat so the sandwich wouldn't get soggy. Very thoughtful!
I'll be back sometime with my family and we'll try all of your wonderful delicacies.
Sam the Clam's: Connecticut- This is a nice little restaurant located in Southington Connecticut. First time here I was on the lobster roll prowl. Lengthy bar with a good number of tables and booths and the staff was efficient and nice. The parking lot isn't too bad, not the largest, but there's a good amount for people to park at this establishment and of course, aquatically themed. I started off with the stuffed clams which are quahogs with their own stuffing, tasty and came out piping hot. I ordered the lobster roll to go. It's standard, hot with a side of butter. Decent but a little drier than my preferred preference. Maybe next time I can try the cold version! They have a large menu and I wouldn't mind coming back and trying something else or getting those quahogs again.
