If you’re in the mood for solid South Indian vegetarian food, A2B in South Plainfield is a great go‑to spot. The place is bright, clean, and has that classic Indian restaurant vibe — cafeteria‑style seating, a big menu, and lots of families and groups hanging out. They’ve got all the classics: dosas (crispy and huge), idlis, vadas, thalis, and a bunch of North Indian and Bombay snacks too, so there’s something for everyone.

I usually go for the masala dosa or the mini tiffin, and both are consistently good — crispy on the outside, soft inside, with tasty potato filling and flavorful chutneys. Their thalis are a great deal if you want to try a little of everything, and the food comes out hot and fresh. Prices are fair for the portion sizes, though it can feel a bit pricey if you’re just grabbing a quick bite. Service is usually fast, but it can get slow on busy weekends when the place is packed. Still, for reliable, tasty vegetarian Indian food in central NJ, A2B is a solid choice.

Huge amount of dishes to choose from! Big portions and freshly made preparations. Everything is clean and presentable. The stuff is very helpful and professional.
This time Kysior was our waiter and he was doing his job wonderfully!
We've ordered South Indian rally, five flavors of uttapam set, three colored paneer, french fries, mango lassi, masala chai and chocolate semolina pudding with vanilla ice cream. Every single thing was delicious!
Highly recommending to try this place!

We were excited to try A2B because it gets a billion stellar reviews. The place is huge and we were the only non-Indians dining on a Tuesday evening. The place is definitely authentic and legit.

We didn’t really know what to order. The only negative is that the service isn’t very friendly. We got samosas, a mushroom curry, and thali. We really enjoyed everything but next time will come with our Indian friends so they can order for us. The thali is a cool dish so you can try a bunch of dishes - I didn’t know what I was eating. Ha.

Had an amazing experience at A2B today, we got to know the day’s special items “puran poli and veg biryani” from VIVEK, we ordered them and our stomachs are happy 💃🏻 🤩. Also had Drumstick soup my all time fav and puri, we never get such hot small fresh yumm poori in whole EDISON. Thank you Vivek for your patience in serving us with smile 😊

I recently visited A2B South Plainfield, NJ, and had a fantastic dining experience! We ordered a variety of dishes including Fried Rice, Biryani, Schezwan Fried Rice, Mysore Masala Dosa, Baby Corn Chilli, and Hot & Sour Soup — and everything was absolutely delicious.

The Mysore Masala Dosa was crispy and flavorful, with the perfect blend of spices in the chutneys and sambar. The Fried Rice and Schezwan Fried Rice were both well-seasoned and had just the right texture — neither too oily nor too dry. The Biryani was aromatic and satisfying, with rich flavors that stood out.

The Baby Corn Chilli was a standout appetizer — crispy, tangy, and just the right level of spice. We also tried the Hot and Sour Soup, which had a comforting warmth and bold flavor, perfect as a starter.

The service was courteous and the food was served hot and fresh. Whether you’re craving South Indian classics or Indo-Chinese favorites, A2B in South Plainfield is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend!
