Balance Kitchen at Freeman Dining Hall

Freeman is great. They have an ordering station, coffee tea station and an entire vegan station. Fresh fruits, salads cereal, even a kitchen to make your own food. If you are on Montclair Campus, it's a must try. Bravo to the dieticians for making this place great 👍🏾

There is a Dominican man who goes there every morning, lies on the big tables, drinks all the coffee, eats all the baked potatoes, and the sausage. Other than that, this place is great.

Freeman is beautiful. The food is a lot healthier and fresher than the food in Sam’s place, and the teaching kitchen is nice if you want to cook something of your own. However, the food is hit or miss, and the burgers can get repetitive.

My only complaint is the service. The staff is very nice, but there is one woman who wipes the tables and mops that has been unnecessarily rude to me and others on multiple occasions. She wipes the tables and doesn’t care if your belongings are in the way or if you’re eating. There was an incident where I had to return my dishes after eating and she was mopping the floor in that area, and I deeply apologized for stepping on the area she mopped as I put my plates in the dish return and she says “Sorry doesn’t do anything.” I think she is extremely rude.

Otherwise, I like it. Much better than sam’s place.

I can't really comment on the other areas because I didn't have any of the food so I can't rate for the service either. I was for a different matter my husband works there,but from what I've seen it was very nice looking and very clean. And hospitality was good from friendly greeting from the staff members as well.
