Folks. This is a little gem on the Boardwalk. Classic sweets from your youth, and fresh confectionary!
They carry Van Holten Taffy! Hard to find, but the BEST!
This the best place to get your sweet tooth very happy. They specialize in taffy and fudge among many other home made goodies. The staff go out of their way to accommodate you. I always stop in when I’m in the area.
On our 3rd trip to Seaside Heights we finally found our way to Berkeley’s. Fudge was great ,and we tried 6 flavors. Definitely the best on the boardwalk !
The staff were friendly and the shop was comparable to others along the boardwalk. The prices may be slightly better here as well. The taffy we had was either stale or intentionally made a little more firm than I'm used to, especially in July.
Definitely what I'd expect and I would likely return.
I stopped down to the boardwalk the week before open season. I walked from north to south getting saltwater taffy from each store along the walk to see which one was best. I told each store owner what I was doing and the owner at Berkeley said his would be best, then again so did everyone else. However after having the same flavors from each shop Berkeleys was the best just as I remembered as a kid. Thank you for making such good saltwater taffy.
