I can’t say enough great things about Tyspeed. From the first contact through the entire repair process, which was done quickly and flawlessly, everything was first rate. Dan was especially responsive and helpful throughout the first process. I really appreciated the open communication. I will it return to my local dealer. I highly recommend Tyspeed for one’s BMW.

I got referred to TySpeed by another professional, whose work I deemed to be impeccable. I was told that when it came to the BMW platform, there was no other place that had the level of expertise. I am so glad I got referred to them - the level of communication, planning, workmanship, and RESULT were truly second to none.

I had my M2 set for a more focused track direction, yet still keeping it easily street-able. I planned with Tyler and his team what this would look like, and they hit the nail on the head. My car is a brand new car, I can’t begin to describe how much more I love it. The stock set up was great, but when I had my instructor go out with me in the new set up, he starting looking at buying one himself.

If you are looking for a professional who has already done all the research for every corner of every BMW platform, look no further. Every one of my cars is going here for maintenance or track prep. Besides, any walk through the shop is like a kid in a candy store - every platform of BMW, amazing swaps, open wheel race cars, cool dogs.

Amendment: I recently had my car vandalized (all four wheels stolen and left on low plastic crates. I called Tyler to see how the hell I could get the car off the ground because no tow truck company could do it. He helped me over the phone via photos while at an important family function. Had the pleasure of Tyspeed taking a big part in a huge project with my e46 M3. I’m a very particular person when it comes to cars and Tyler was able to accommodate every one of my needs and offer even more. Great quality of work, communication, and care for the customer. Tyler is genuine, knowledgeable, and stands behind all of his work. I just crossed over the 25k mile mark on my N55 engine that was reassembled & reinstalled by him (close decking/boring done by CSS and head work/refresh done by Headgames Motorworks) and it’s been absolutely flawless paired with a Speedtech turbo kit. For a car with this many aftermarket parts, getting them to all work and play nice together seamlessly is a testament to Tyler’s skill and familiarity with BMWs, ranging from OEM to full blown race cars.

My car and engine came to him basically piecemeal (due to my inexperience and poor handling by another shop) and he buttoned everything back up perfectly on top of the additional bolt ons and suspension parts I shipped over to him and wanted. Tyler and his team were communicative, transparent, and consultative through every step of the process.

Since getting the car back from him, the car has been through its engine break-in procedure, street tuning, and even a roadtrip from NYC to Tail of the Dragon. It was thrashed along the way, there, and back, and the only thing it needed was new set of tires. The car continues to perform beautifully whenever an empty stretch of road allows for it and being able to beat on a car that you can rely on because Tyler built it = priceless.

There are very few reputable engine builders in the BMW community, fewer that can operate as a one stop shop, and even a select fewer that can bring the same level of enthusiasm, knowledge, and real world racing experience that Tyler brings to his work.

I have now been here Twice

First-
I got my M6 rod bearings done @70k.

Tom is the service manager and a knowledgeable BMW owner.

The quote was reasonable, best priced from the ones I received.

Ty performed the service (I think) picked the car back up in 4 days.

They offer a dealership style diagnostics report with images and details that makes the user experience much much better than any other independent BMW workshop.

Second-
Took my 2006 4.8is E53 for a vibration diagnostics.... I have taken this vehicle to over 3 different shops for to diagnose this issue including VAC Motorsports (Who did a poor diagnostics).

Matt and Ty were able to diagnose this issue, it was the differential. Swapped the diff and installed a rebuilt drive shaft, the vibration is now gone!

Throughout this process, Tom the service manager was very proactive with getting the right parts ordered on time.
