John and his team recently completed a bathroom renovation for my family. Every step of the way he and the team were wonderful to work with, from the planning phase all the way through minor tweaks at the end.
For starters, John doesn't disappear like some contractors; he picks up and returns calls so there's never a concern about what's going on. If there was something we had a question about, we could always get hold of him and get the answer quickly.
He's easy to get a plan together with and will execute whatever your vision is. If ideas are needed, he and the team are very knowledgeable to help you as well.
The job did take a little longer than originally planned, but the result was worth it.
I don't have much comparison for cost, but I would say that John is not the cheapest - and rightfully. You'll get a quality result at the end. Also - I was pleasantly surprised how CLEAN the team worked and left the site each day. Honestly was shocked by the overall neatness and daily clean-up that they do to keep the space orderly.
We will definitely use John on the next one.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Blue Planet on two projects that could have been extremely stressful, but thanks to their quick response and expertise, they turned into the smoothest experiences I’ve ever had with a contractor.
Project 1:
My pregnant tenant (in our rental property) noticed mold on the wall. John came out immediately to assess the situation. He began testing, removed the affected walls and floors, and treated the home. To ensure it stayed dry, he installed French drains and a sump pump. After completing the remediation, he replaced the walls and floors and painted the space. It looked beautiful—and most importantly, it was DRY! Knowing I was paying for my tenants to stay in a hotel during the process, John asked his amazing crew to work through the weekend to expedite the job. I was absolutely blown away by their commitment.
Project 2:
While on vacation, I got a call that our basement had about 10 inches of water. With limited cell service, I managed to contact John, and he immediately sent out a crew. They quickly removed the water, walls, and floors, installed French drains/sump pumps, and treated for mold. The crew was incredibly careful and diligent, even meticulously removing each one of my son’s Lego sets without damaging them. The finished result is another beautiful, dry basement—and a lifelong customer.
I can’t say enough good things about Blue Planet. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and quality of work are unmatched. Highly recommend!
We had a slow leak in the wall under the kitchen sink that damaged three of the base cabinets and the sub floor. The Blue Planet Team was able to dismantle the counter top and rebuild the cabinets while saving the all the cabinet faces saving us thousands. They replaced the damaged subfloor, remediated the mold damage and installed a new kitchen floor. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing the services.
We had a problem with water penetration in our commercial office building. John came in to our office building and gave a thorough review of the conditions and explanation of what can be done. His approach was sensible and promise of workmanship was convincing. Scheduling was easy. His crew came in and did a great job and kept the facility clean! When done the mold and damage from our prior problem was fully resolved. The place is great and the system is working well.
