The library staff is friendly, and they have a large selection of books (physically and via Libby)
My 3 children ( 2, 6 & 10 ) all get very excited to visit THIS library. The extra programs and activities are wonderful very much appreciated by this mom on a budget. The outdoor grounds are also lovely to stroll!
Love it here. The space is open with lots of programs for kids and adults. They really are a community hub with knitting get togethers and book sales. They have a program where kids trained to work with food run a small cafe area near the front desk. They frequently host plays and performances that are "donate what you can" events. They have an interlibrary loan program to get books to you if you need access. They have a DVD and music loan program, a teen room, a children's play area in the children's center, printers and computers available, and a buy-a-book corner among other things. Directly outside they have an amphitheatre and a short guided walkway for those that need a little nature-break. I highly recommend coming for programming or making this a stop in your day.
ATENTION! CLOSED SUNDAYS JULY & AUGUST!
The light$ are on and not shown on the library website or here on maps.
Totally renovated and expanded (2012), building with the addition of a large auditorium, a children's mini auditorium ish room, conference rooms (one large room with a dividing curtain), a media area, a teen area, a security station, a drive up book drop box, a concession area with a seating area, and a amphitheatre. All the original facilities still remain like the actual library, lol the children's library, video library, historical documents room, computers, etc. Many programs are offered, including indoor and outdoor concerts. Theamphitheatere area includes a concession building with attached bathroom and a couple of picnic tables under a shelter. Besides a large parking area (still not enough when concerts are well attended), there is a dedicated handicapped parking area next to the amphitheater. Enjoy. It's all paid for with the dedicated library tax, so consider all this a paid for service and accept nothing but the best.
