Carmona-Bolen

Our Mom, Mrs. Nicole Bialick, was a resident of Crestwood Manor which is located adjacent to Carmona - Bolen. She passed last month at the age of 101 years. So it only made good sense to focus our due diligence efforts to Carmona-Bolen. With 5 adult siblings each with a point of view and asking questions and voicing concerns in support, it quickly became apparent that Jennifer Bounds, the Carmona - Bolen Funeral liaison assigned to us needed to have diplomatic skills of the highest order, a thorough grasp of NJ burial laws and the patience to achieve closure on a number of items. Without any regrets I offer up a non-qualified endorsement of Jennifer, her skills and empathy for enabling an inherently emotional process to retain a sense of dignity that guided Mom's actions in her remaining days on this earth.

All staff are warm and caring. They handled all arrangements with professionalism and every detail planned and carried out. Thank you for your services and taking the planning worries from me at a very difficult time. Thank you to all and especially Jennifer.

I am very disappointed. When my mother passed in 2019 Mike Defonzo handled all the arrangements. I asked him to order me a thumb print necklace that held some of the remains and he came through with flying colors. He is the reason I gave two stars instead of one.

My father passed in March of 2021 and the arrangements were handled by Valerie Morton. I explained I wanted a matching necklace for my father. She assured me this would be no problem and that she'd look back in their records and get me the same thing, don't worry. Here it is May 14th 2021 and I'm now finding out Valerie didn't order anything. After confirming it 4 times she didn't even bother. My father is now interned and it's not possible to get his remains to put in the necklace. You only get one shot at something like this and we trust these people to get it right so we can grieve. You dropped the ball on this and there's no way to make it right. Thanks. I would suggest either dealing with Mike or taking your business somewhere else.

This funeral home made my unfortunate situation so easy to complete, talked to me like a good friend helped me make my choices so Very grateful 🙏 for their professionalism and friendship.

My husband passed suddenly and unexpectedly last Thursday. Valerie at Carmona Bolen was extremely helpful and kind. This is so difficult and they make everything so much easier. Also, I cant get over how reasonably priced. At a time like this it is so easy to be taken advantage of. This was far from the case with them. Their consideration and kindness was above and beyond.
