This is a great nature center. There are tanks with fish, crabs, horseshoe crabs, Jabba the snapping turtle, snakes, etc. the butterfly garden is beautiful. Thoroughly enjoyed and will be back.

They could do this without all the captive animals. Seeing a captive snapping turtle in a small tank is heartbreaking. Same with most of the snakes. The jellyfish tank is nasty looking, and those are by far the most interesting of the captive animals. Not a fan. The facilities are ok, could use an update. The park and walk up the trail was amazing, but this center was meh. They need a capital campaign to update it and get rid of the live animals 😭

Cool center with a bunch of dead animals to look at as well as alive ones. The trails are nice and there’s a neat butterfly garden too. But the snapping turtle should have more room, he seems very packed in to his enclosure.

Stopped by the environmental center while visiting the Cattus Island park. We were surprised when we realized we were just in time for a Turtle Talk presentation, and got to see real turtles! After the presentation, we walked around the inside of the center and saw a lot of really detailed information. The people were all very nice and helpful too!
