Best tasting Italian restaurant I've had since moving to NJ. Food and service were phenomenal. My girlfriend and I got the carciofini montenegro artichoke appetizer and it had an incredible blend of flavor and texture. The entrees were the same where I got the veal chop (huge portion and perfectly made red sauce) and my girlfriend got rigatoni bolognese (savory, very flavorful). For desert we got the crème brûlée cheesecake which was 10x fresher, natural and more tasty than Cheesecake Factory. Marino who is the chef took our order and knows how to run a good business. Overall great service by everyone who works there and the place was romantic and cozy for a nice date.
Great family dinner experience. Everything was perfect. The owner makes a point to pay attention to detail and cares about your experience.
I attended a rehearsal dinner here and the service was excellent. The food was great as well and the menu for the rehearsal dinner was very comprehensive. I especially enjoyed penne vodka and the dessert. Great place for a get together!
Immaculately prepared and absolutely delicious food. Chicago has some Italian restaurants that I like, however, nothing holds a candle compared to the food at IL Monello.
Each dish was an amazing experience for flavor, texture, and smell. From the appetizer to the dessert, the entire meal was a feast for all the senses.
Unfortunately, our order was slightly delayed compared to our neighbors despite us ordering first. However, this was rectified with a complimentary wine for the table. So service was very good to us that night!
Would come again whenever Mendham reappears in the flight itinerary.
Pleasantly surprised by the attentive service and hospitality at this quaint restaurant. We attended a party here and the amount of food surpassed some weddings we've attended stateside. We appreciated the variety and uniqueness of the appetizers that were shared family style. Pasta and entrees were tasty and portions were overly abundant. We enjoyed the intermezzo of lemon sorbet to cleanse the palate between courses. The after dinner liquors offered by the host/owner were a nice touch. We can't recommend Il Monello enough.
