Double D Construction

My experience with Double D Construction was outstanding. The estimate process was easy, they were able to fit us in right away and the repairs went flawless. They uncovered some additional work that needed to be addressed once they tore the old roof off, which I found the additional cost very reasonable, and I was very pleased with the outcome. We had some concerns afterwards, which they followed up on immediately which turned out to be nothing. It has been 3 years since the replacement and we are still very happy we went with Double D Construction, and we highly recommend them and hope to use them again.

Double D just replaced our roof and we couldn’t be more delighted with both the job they did and their crew. No one wants to spend a ton of money on a roof, but DD made it as painless as possible. From our salesman Taras to the crew who worked on our project, everyone was courteous and patient. We can’t say enough about the crew in particular; they took immense pride in their work, as they should. DD wasn’t the lowest of the 4 bids we received, but it also was nowhere near the most expensive.

Unlike with other companies from whom we received quotes, there were absolutely no high pressure tactics or dopey gimmicks. I’ll pay for my own vacation, thank you, just give me a fair price for the job. And don’t offer me a “discount” if I commit on the spot. We recommend DD very highly!

After a windstorm obliterated portions of my roof I called several roofers. Double D quickly assessed my situation, tarped the roof as snow was forecast and provided a very reasonable price to replace the entire roof. They also recommended upgrading to 6 inch gutters as I had been experiencing some overflow issues. Both the roof and gutters were installed on schedule. Working with Rob and the crew was an absolute pleasure. You can’t help but appreciate professionals who are honest, upfront and do what they say. Everyone was punctual, courteous, friendly and professional. The roof looks great and I’ve had no leaks or gutter overflow since the installation. They left the yard as neat as a pin. Would I use Double D again? I was so pleased with the quality and price of their work that I’ve asked them to come back and roof my shed :). I highly recommended Double D!!

I used Double D Construction to replace my original, 26 year old roof.
I received several estimates from other roofing companies (all of which were within the same price range), but Double D was the only one who sent a salesman (Mark), out the same day I called to inspect the roof, thoroughly explain what they offered and provide an on the spot written estimate with no pressure.

Communication was great throughout and I was put on the schedule within a couple of days.

The crew was on time, did a great job and left my property as clean as it was before they started.

We are very glad we went with Double D for the replacement of our roof. We have a 100 year old house. Any time you're going to get work done on a house this old, you have anxiety. The roof was easily 25 years old and several spots on the sides and back were failing. It was time.
Matt and Rob came out to meet with us and were very detailed in their explanations and very professional and easy to speak to. They took photos of the spots that had damage and then emailed several estimates with our options.

Once we made a decision to replace the roof, they scheduled us and were very accommodating to our schedules. The Monday in May that we chose was raining so they came the next day. The crew arrived at 7am and began prepping and tarping and by 8am they were removing the old roof (actually, we didn't know it before, but there was one roof on top of another roof so they were removing 2 roofs). They were efficient and fast and very nice. There were two women on the job, which made me happy to see - girl power! By 3pm, even with a break for lunch, they were done and were very good about going around with a magnet to get all the loose nails on the property. The clean up was very good and our roof looked amazing! We purposefully went with a color that was very similar to the old roof because we didn't want a clash with the roof of the garage (which we didn't replace).

I waited to write this review because I wanted to make sure there were no unforeseen issues. I'm going to mention something that I'm only adding because it shows how Double D handles any possible problems. The day after the roof was installed, I noticed a water spot in the finished attic that wasn't there before they did the roof. I let them know there was a new spot. They assured me that if it was an issue with the installation they would definitely come handle it. There was a bit of back and forth because the water spot didn't get any bigger and it was unclear if water was continuing to get in.

Adding to this review on August 1, 2022. A new, but relatively small water mark formed recently in the attic, confirming that there had been something around the chimney that wasn't fully sealed. Double D just finished re-flashing around the chimney after performing a water test. It's now fully sealed. Sometimes things don't go perfectly and I'm glad they came out to fix it.

I know this is a very long review, but I know that when I read reviews, I want as much information as possible. I hope this helps anyone who is considering using them. I can recommend them without any hesitation.
