Dr. Mai Kaga

I want to start by saying that Dr. Kaga is kind, knowledgeable, and clearly cares about her patients. I appreciated her time and the thoroughness of her explanations.

That said, I do want to share my experience so others can make the most informed decision possible. During my visit, I was advised to dissolve all the filler in my face — around $4–5k worth accumulated over the years — even though I wasn’t unhappy with how my face looked. I originally went in only for an undereye fill.

In the process, filler was dissolved from areas my cheeks, jawline, chin. After that, new filler was placed, and for the first time in 10 years, I haven’t loved the result on my face. The new volume just doesn’t seem to suit my features, and I think if I had a slimmer face or less pronounced nasolabial folds, it might have looked different. Unfortunately, I can’t go back to my original dermatologist (she’s overseas), so I regret having dissolved everything in the first place.

My only intention in writing this review is to encourage others to take time, ask questions specific to your face and preferences, and be absolutely sure before making big changes like dissolving all existing filler. Every face is different, and what works beautifully for one person may not work the same for another.

Dr. Kaga is skilled, but I hope my experience helps someone else pause and think things through fully before moving forward.

The best gift is a Dr. Kaga visit. My wife always returns looking beautiful and if she didn't share what she got done with me I would just assume she is well rested. My wife also shares her skincare with me and I have to say I will never use a bar of soap on my face again. The gift cards are always a hit.

Dr. Kaga is unequivocally the best injector/ doctor specializing in aesthetics in the tristate area. Since seeing her (annually) because the work is that good & the product lasts I receive endless compliments. As a patient I have received fillers/laser/skincare and the best hugs. The team there truly works together to provide the best care. Don’t think twice!
