The Edison Public Library is one of those rare community spaces that manages to feel both peaceful and alive at the same time. Whether you’re dropping in for a quiet place to work, bringing kids for story time, or hunting for your next great read, the library delivers a consistently warm and well-organized experience.
The staff is welcoming, supportive and the facility is clean and systematic with a plenty of space for seating. One of the best place for you and your kids to be creative and make community connections. Highly recommended.
I didn’t like that every single book on my Facebook book list wasn’t there. It’s not very accessible seeing as the back entrance to the library is closed for renovation, but you don’t know that until you go all the way to the door and then you have to walk around the building uphill to get to the side entrance. You need a key for the bathroom. They’re only seems to be one private study room and the other study spaces are very, very small
Renovations currently going on but Library is still open even on Saturday and its always nice and quiet in here.I love the new single chairs and long tables with sockets to plug in your devices and the wifi is fast too.
We frequently visit this public library, and it has become one of our favorite places. My kids really enjoy coming here m,they love exploring the wide collection of books and spending time reading. The library also organizes engaging activities for children and even gives small gifts to encourage their reading habits, which makes the experience even more special.
The staff are friendly and always ready to help with book recommendations. The library is well-maintained, peaceful, and a perfect spot for both kids and adults to learn and relax. A great place to nurture a love for reading!
UPDATED REVIEW 4/25
There have been huge improvements to the library!
I visited on a Saturday, and it was quiet, bright, clean and well-maintained. The staff continues to provide excellent service. The unsecure public WiFi speed is approximately 50 Mbps, which was sufficient to watch videos, browse the web, procrastinate with TikTok on my phone, listen to music & complete all my work seamlessly. There is a large book bin for returns and self-checkout machines for borrowing items. The process is quick and can be completed without having to speak to anyone. The second floor is still under construction, but the first floor offers ample amenities and ergonomic seating. I sat on one of the teal chairs for 5 hours quite comfortably. Additionally, there are a few private rooms, which are likely available through prior reservation. Complimentary parking is available behind the library for visitors.
Looking forward to the completion of the second floor construction! Highly recommend!
