This place has great resources and can sometimes provide a quiet area to study, and while the staffing is very polite and kind, they refuse to acknowledge anyone making noise. I understand that its college and you want to blow off some steam with classmates after a lab, but this is not the place to do that. People come here to study and find quiet, and the librarians do not enforce this which is kind of shocking in this setting of all places.

I like coming to the library to get my work done and to be in a quiet space. But some students fail to do that. They are on their phone talking loudly and the librarian just sits at the desk on the computer and does nothing. I remember if we needed to use our phones we would have to go outside and talk on the phone to not disrupt other students. The rules need to be reinforced because this is ridiculous.

The MCC library is a great place to hunker down and study for hours on end. I found the staff are friendly, the environment nice and quiet. I got plenty of assignments done here.

There are plenty of computers both upstairs and downstairs. WiFi is a bit slow at times, but if you're close to a signal amplifier (little white box with antennae hanging from the ceiling) it should be fine.

Be sure to check out the textbooks on reserve if you want to save $$$ on required class readings. Students can borrow textbooks on reserve for a full two hours with a student ID, and renew the book for an additional two hours once a day.
