I wish I could give TEN stars!

I stopped by B & M Aquatic Gardens and Koi last month, and I am so glad I did. Who knew such a hidden gem was tucked right off Rt. 94? From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed like family. I don’t say that lightly—this was genuine, heartfelt, and completely unlike anything I’ve experienced before.

After seeing their beautiful ponds and talking through ideas, I decided on the spot to have them install a small pond in my front yard. The space was perfect—though an old tree stump made the dig more challenging than expected. The B & M team handled it with patience, determination, and good humor, and in just four days the pond was complete. The end result is more than I hoped for: absolutely stunning and already the focal point of the yard.

What really sets B & M apart is their commitment to creating a place where you feel welcome, no matter why you’re there. Want to admire the gorgeous koi? Great. Need a pump? They’ve got you. It’s so clear they have a genuine love for what they do. They never pushed me toward anything I didn’t need—instead, they took time to figure out what I might like, explain every option, and share their knowledge in a way that made everything easy to understand. Their commitment to healthy fish and ongoing education shows in every conversation—you can tell they truly care about the hobby and the people who enjoy it.

I can’t wait to share photos once the plants and fish are in. And I’m even more excited that they’ll be adding tropical fish this fall—another one of my passions!

If you’re even a little curious about koi, ponds, or water features, do yourself a favor and stop by. Wander the grounds, take in the views, ask questions—there’s never any pressure. Just friendly, knowledgeable people who love what they do and want to share it.

B&M has been opening my pond in the spring and closing it for the winter for the past 10 years. They've also replaced my pond liner, upgraded my filter, and saved me from buying a new pump. Their store and grounds are gorgeous. Their advice has been invaluable. And the family running it all is lovely.

Soooo happy we stumbled across B&M Aquatic Gardens & Koi while trying to find pond stores on Google Maps. Took a trip up because we were looking for lily pads that weren’t too big for our pond. Not only did we find those, but we found the most wonderful pond store that we’ll definitely be back to over and over again. The outside of the store is beautiful, with tons of gorgeous, large koi and wonderful ponds. The inside is filled with your pond needs — like barley straw, filters, accessories, etc. The one greenhouse has fish and the other has plants; both were exactly what we were looking for. Love a local, family-owned and run business. Oh, and who could forget Lucas. The sweetest, most lovable pup who makes sure that you know that he knows you’re there 😂🖤 we’ll be back when we’re ready for a few koi, which will hopefully be soon.

Awesome experience with B&M Pond Supplies

I randomly ran into one of their employees while we were both getting gas—pure chance—and decided to ask a few questions. I was looking for solutions for a lake, and while they specialize in ponds, the guy didn’t just shrug me off. He took the time (even though he was clearly on his lunch break) to talk with me and point me toward a state-run fish hatchery that could help with stocking fish.

He also mentioned pond dye options for algae control and brought up sterile carp as a possible solution for keeping down mosquitoes and gnats. Super knowledgeable and helpful.

Honestly, the guy went above and beyond when he didn’t have to. If anyone from B&M sees this—give that man a raise. Can’t recommend these folks enough if you're working on your pond and need expert guidance.

They did a fantastic job building our pond. True professionals. I wish all my dealing with contractors would be this easy. Great healthly selection of Koi as well. Highly recommended.
