I had a great experience at Scherer and sons. They had beautiful koi of all sizes and colors. They also had all sorts of water plants for ponds. I love this place and have been going there for years.

Amazing family owned business for all of your pond needs. The employees are both knowledgable and helpful. This store has everything you could need for a pond of any size. In front are the many pools of fish and in back is the picturesque, and very functional, greenhouse. I love to just walk around this place-the beauty is inspiring. It makes sense to by from Scherer's- they stand behind everything they sell and their customer service is top notch.

The history of the dedication this family has had to nurturing water lilies throughout the world and I've had to rip conversations know they've been all over this world for the most part, it's felt the moment you put 1 foot down on the stand of the over 110 years this family has been on Long Island dedicating themselves to the craft the creation the incubation of water lilies. Look up water lilies and you'll understand the background behind them . Every time I am there I know I am in reverence to those in the family that are now veiled by the curtain of our other states of consciousness .you can feel the energy if you sit by the water Lily Pond up front if you get to walk the grounds a bit to look at the beautiful stones and crystals and mineral rocks I swear I can see the nymphs energy watching over each Lilly. The current son presiding over the care Bobby , is an amazing family historian. He has meticulously put together the happenings since his family came to Long Island via a few different routes. I feel like I'm stepping back in time and yet the same time you see what could be a future beautiful cooperative perhaps of people who put their hands in the soil and then the water and then over their own heads and feel the connection to mother earth. I keep waiting to see this place become a historical as well as practical tour that actually shows people what it is to live off the land and what it would takes to bring this world back in alignment by choosing peace of mind and become as we once were people who lived along side One another inspiring each other to be our passions and also each contributing to every aspect of the world so that whatever you need you have it ,there is enough! Go to the grocery and stay a while and he will feel enough will not walk out of there feeling need but what you will walk out of there is peace of mind understanding of nature and a blessing if you get to be happy as he shares his wonderful stories of the land the lilies in their travels The beautiful memories growing up knowing your heritage so well and knowing this is all just us putting our hands into the soil so we might create. By the way I'm very verbose but I love this place you will to bring up photography class bring your students bring your kids for your grandmothers.

Fantastic Customer Service!! First they tried to fix my pond pump before selling me a new one. When the new one stopped working 2 years later, they looked up my receipt and replaced it on the spot under the mfg warranty. No problem. When I bought an extra piece that I didn't need, they swapped it for me instantly with something I could use instead. Wow, I've forgotten what good service is even like. I've also bought plants over the years that did well. They also have a beautiful variety of waterlily plants.
